A court in Ecuador has found Chevron guilty of massive environmental pollution and human rights violations in the Amazon, and has ordered the company to pay $8 billion to clean it up. But Chevron has vowed to appeal the decision, and clearly plans to stall indefinitely, hoping never to pay its due. So the Change Chevron team got together with our friends and allies at Amazon Watch, Greenpeace, Global Exchange, and Communities for a Better Environment (of Richmond, CA) headed down to Chevron’s HQ in San Ramon, CA, and delivered a message to the company: Chevron was found guilty because the company is guilty. Time to accept responsibility and clean up the oily mess in Ecuador!

I had a craving for a steak, and so I went to Outback Steakhouse and had myself a Ribeye steak. When I grew up, I knew the Ribeye as a Delmonico steak, but a Delmonico can vary from where you are in the world.
A good ribeye is fantastic and cannot be beat. A bad ribeye cut, even if cooked well, is such a disappointment. This one from Outback was a mediocre cut. I probably could've gotten a similar cut from a good butcher (but there is no good butcher in Lansing). It was however cooked to a perfect medium rare. Lately, whenever I go to a restaurant, I get an overcooked steak. Even Dusty's managed to serve me a medium steak. I didn't send it back, but I did make a note to my waitress. This steak was on the rare side of medium rare, which is just how I like it.
Whenever you order a steak, it's a tough thing to do well, to cook just right, so if it's off, I'll let the server know to tell the cook, and if it's spot on, I have no hesitation letting the kitchen know that they did fantastic.
Whenever I'm at Outback, I get fries because I don't really care, so I just get whatever comes out quickly.
My favorite steak is the porterhouse, but I think that's a cop out, because a porterhouse is just a strip steak and filet mignon joined by bone. So, if you disqualify the porterhouse, then my favorite steak is the ribeye.
EDIT - It seems that this steak is actually closer to rare than medium rare, which, as it happens, is how I like my steaks. I now officially feel like an idiot, because I complained at the last steakhouse I went to that they overcooked my steak, but it was actually exactly medium rare. Doh.
FGR today asked us to admit our guilty pleasures. Mine is TiVo. I love the damn thing. Not as much as Jamie, but more than my daughter some days. THAT's how much I love TiVo.
The problem? I don't feel guilty about it!

Its the look when something has gone wrong, no adults are able to pin it on any single child, its just a case of working through the group until you get one to confess.
Some of the staff wanted us to behave like ordinary children, visit the dressing up box and invent a costume. A few of the items might not get returned to the box and were kept for own play use in the grounds of the home. A hat of this design could be counted as both a weapon and a sun hat. One of the few boys in the Home during my time that was also often in dungarees.
At school, many of us from the Home were the last ones to be picked for parts in a play. Due to most of the Sisters demanding that we return back to the Home as soon school was over, the teachers that wanted some pupils to stay a few extra minutes to rehearse the play, meant we were often missing.

Even as he was led away to begin his sentence, 'Riley the Kid' was still protesting his innocence of what would become known as 'The Digging Up Of The Flowers' Incident.

- SH-900 speedlight (TTL mode) fired clean at the ceiling at 170 degree angle from the subject causing the bounce to portray an intentional shadow of myself around the subject creating a vignette-ish effect.
- Shutter speed kept slow so that the image captured is somewhere between the fading of the light from the strobe and the presence of the ambient light. ( This was done so that the monochrome image has a feel of the temperature around the subject ).
