A court in Ecuador has found Chevron guilty of massive environmental pollution and human rights violations in the Amazon, and has ordered the company to pay $8 billion to clean it up. But Chevron has vowed to appeal the decision, and clearly plans to stall indefinitely, hoping never to pay its due. So the Change Chevron team got together with our friends and allies at Amazon Watch, Greenpeace, Global Exchange, and Communities for a Better Environment (of Richmond, CA) headed down to Chevron’s HQ in San Ramon, CA, and delivered a message to the company: Chevron was found guilty because the company is guilty. Time to accept responsibility and clean up the oily mess in Ecuador!

Homemade Mocha Latte
As I have quite the drive to get to the closest STARBUCKS or Barnes & Noble, I have gotten pretty good at whipping up my own java & chocolate whipped delight!
My Starbucks motif labeled to-go cup helps the ambience of my afternoon guilty pleasure :)
It's just about time to whip up my Autumn afternoon delight: a Pumpkin Spice Latte!!!

Easy Mocha Latte
INGREDIENTS
8 oz hot brewed strong coffee
2 tbsp hot chocolate mix
1/4 cup whole milk
optional: whipped cream, additional hot chocolate mix for dusting, candy cane
DIRECTIONS
Stir together the coffee and hot chocolate mix in a large mug.
Heat the milk on the stove to warm -- it should be around 100 degrees or just hot enough that you can only keep a finger in it comfortably for a couple of seconds. Remove from the stove and froth the milk using an aerator. Alternatively, whisk vigorously by hand until the milk foams, about 1 minute.
Pour the frothed milk into the coffee. If desired, garnish with whipped cream and a dusting of hot chocolate mix.
A sneaky beer in the middle of the day.
I had one too.

I Hope you all have a nice Christmas.

When I left for work this morning I asked My Daughters Hello Kitty, Keroppi, My Melody and Tuxedo Sam to watch my goody table and to make sure no one came over and ate all of them. When I got home they were all gone except these two leftovers. When I asked what happened they all said nobody came over and no one ate all of them. Funny part is they all had the same FAT CAT FACE like they just ate at a buffet. I'm pretty sure Hello Kitty is the only Kitty in the group which made it even more suspicious. ):
The top two components are the oil pump drive gear and spindle taken from my wrecked Gold Star engine. The bottom two are new `old stock` items.
Mmmmmmmmm, not too difficult to see why the old clonker seized up then!!!

This was Lucy, still in the box, after I 'rescued' her from the top of the fridge/freezer. Is there a hint of contrition in those eyes ... or is she just plotting the next adventure? :)
