I'm not sure, but I certainly love this Aspen grove at the Tilden's botanical garden, Berkeley, CA.
PS - thanks for all the single symbol comments on the last photo :) - you all rock!
Quick shot from my trip to Colorado last fall... This little grove of aspen trees was right up the hill from Crystal Lake. I was so amazed by all the aspen trees out there...
The boom sections are capped and the head is in place. I just need to make the hook block, the counterweight and connect the boom ram to have a working crane.

A small grove of trees close to my house which I paid a visit to one evening last week.
As the season moves on and the evenings draw out we can see the sun setting more to the West North West now rather that winters South West, the season may have moved on but it`s still raining and blowing a gale. Many years ago there were a lot of farms in this area, and think there may have been something here back then as evidenced by the crumbling flint walls in front of my camera . Tomorrow a one off but something completely different

The NOW, Northern Ohio and Western's lone GP9 heads back for its terminus at Tiffin, Ohio passing by an approach signal guarding the diamond with the NS Fostoria District at Maple Grove. This railroad is quite obscure, running only on Monday's and Thursday's and with one locomotive for motive power, railfans don't usually flock to this operation. The NOW operates a portion of the former PRR Carrothers Secondary from Tiffin to Woodville, Oh.

RCPE MMNAU rolls west out of Walnut Grove, Minnesota behind a four-pack of ex-Blue and Gold SD40-2s and a healthy cut of mixed freight from Mankato.
Up the road from Taylor Reservoir in Colorado. Unlike many of the forested areas I passed through on my travels last summer, all the forested area near Taylor Reservoir appeared to be in good condition.

A journey in the back roads of "Vermont" led me to the old farm ,.. I just love the sights & smells of New England farm country in the fall ,... ahhhh !!!
Forest Grove #5 opened for rural students in 1873 north of Pleasant Valley, Iowa. It served the area until 1957. It fell into disrepair for decades until restoration began in 2012 and was completed a couple years later. This is what Forest Grove looks like today.

I've always liked urban skyline backdrops for trains so even though nothing is moving here I still like the overall scene. This view looks south off the St. Anthony Parkway overpass from the little railfan park south of Northtown Yard. A pair of BNSF GP39-3s (rebuilt Santa Fe GP35s) sit beside the little Grove Yard office while a tagged up caboose still in BN Cascade green sits by itself. Trackage extends south out of Grove Yard and curves west crossing the Mississippi on the old Northern Pacific bridge to reach a couple customers in North Minneapolis.
As for the skyline, the tallest buildings in the city are visible including the 57 story, 792 ft IDS Center at right which has been the tallest in the the state of Minnesota since 1973. On the left side is the 776 ft Capella Tower dating from 1992 and the second tallest and in the center at number three and only one foot shorter is the Wells Fargo Center dating from 1988.

Autumn in a quiet evening aspen grove in the Eastern Sierra Nevada.
It is easy to focus on the largest and most impressive elements of the Sierra Nevada landscape — I know that I often do. The range is full of rugged peaks, deep valleys, forests draped across miles of terrain, and more. But eventually, if you spend enough time in this landscape, it becomes apparent that there are things to see (and photograph) almost everywhere… and not just in the iconic places. If you asked me where this photograph was made, I could tell you the precise location — but why? There are countless equivalent scenes all over the range!
The photograph illustrates another principle of photographing such subjects: sometimes “bad light” is actually good light. I made the photograph after the sun had set behind the surrounding tall mountains, as the day’s light was quickly fading. But I love photographing trees — especially autumn aspen trees — in this marginal and soft light. The harsh highlights and shadows are gone and gentle light suffuses the scene.

The grove of love in south-western Poland. Absolutely phenomenal place, although seen only from a bird`s eye view. The heart-shaped grove was supposedly created naturally, without human intervention. The grove lies in the middle of a large rapeseed.

A particularly elegant and serene-looking stand of trees, on the hillside overlooking the Hudson River at Untermyer Gardens Conservancy. I wish I knew what kind of trees they are. One photo a day. (249/366) Yonkers, NY -- September 5, 2020
