Abstracts like this aren't for everyone, I know, but this time of year I get a little cabin fever which turns into "creativity" on the computer :) Hope everyone's week is going great!

Taken during my "Evening of Wildflowers" workshop at the Crested Butte Wildflower Festival. It started with a 1 hour downpour with lots of thunder and lightening. When the rain stopped, we ventured over Keebler Pass to this lovely aspen grove populated with very wet wildflowers.
As always, thanks so much for taking a look.

Early morning at the bamboo grove in the Arashiyama area of Kyoto, Japan.
Sorry for the radio silence recently, I've been SO busy! I was in Ireland for Stena Line / Tourism Ireland, then I literally had 30 mins to pack before heading to the airport to go to Ecuador for the Ministerio de Turismo.
After that, it was Northern Ireland, followed by a last minute job in Iceland for Issey Miyake and finally I've spent the last three weeks in Japan for RT Holidays. PHEW!
Thankfully I should get a little break for xmas before heading to South East Asia for Jan and Feb (Thailand, Laos and Vietnam at the minute).
If anyone uses Instagram (@thefella) or Snapchat (username 'thefella'), you can follow my adventures there in real-time.

After holding in nearby Oostburg for an inspector to get out of the way, a CWR makes its’ way south through Cedar Grove, WI, on UP’s “famous” Shoreline Subdivision. Rather than have the 8444 lead back from LHF, the crew in Butler had UP 1107 added behind it.
This would be the only shot I get of the move, due to an inconvenient thunderstorm moving in to the south and the lack of amazing shots to the north

Diana's Grove is a tranquil wooded area situated near to Blair Castle within the grounds of Atholl Estates. Diana's Grove is named after the Roman Goddess of Hunting. Blair Castle is the ancestral home of the Dukes of Atholl, known as the 'Planting Dukes' in the 18th & 19th centuries, by 1830 the family had planted over 27 million trees within the Atholl Glens.
The plants growing from the cracks in the tomb didn't show up very well except with infrared.

Spring Grove Ponds , also known as Long Copse here and another shot - this time over the larger of the two ponds . The ponds are part of the local surface water drainage system as well as being a favourite spot for local anglers .
The wind was not too bad so managed a reflection or two for the shot .
In 1926, San Francisco Hotel heiress, Margaret Stewart, commissioned renowned architect Julia Morgan to build this country estate, today known as Redwood Grove. The estate was part of a planned 1,290 acre resort community by the Benbow family.
Today, Redwood Grove has been conscientiously restored to the historical detail and grandeur characterized by Julia Morgan. Her design hallmarks included painstaking attention to detail and craftsmanship, which incorporate the owner’s private collection of art and antiques.
