This is one of the compositions I made during a brilliant sunrise event an the Two Medicine region of Montana's Glacier National Park.
I have both a traditional 2:3 aspect ratio version, and this square 1:1 ratio - as some of my clients have a preference for the square format style.
Hooves would seem to be a slippery thing on rocks, but these cloven climbers have magnets in their toes.
In this section of the creek where it is wider and way less frothy, you get more of the pretty glacier color come through.
Flashes of red through the trees along the Flathead River as this tanager paused from plucking insects out of the air.
The trail up was snow covered and didn't make the hike up here any easier. But, the views from up here are pretty special. You can almost always spot Mountain Goats up here as well.
Much of the Trail of the Cedars Nature Trail follows along Avalanche Creek. The creek was full of roaring energy, following a very snowy winter. It was wonderfully loud & chilly along the trail.
