So excited to be participating in this self portrait project!!
For today’s word I immediately thought of baking cookies and turning myself into a miniature person covered in flour - a gingerbread person come to life! I almost went with a gingerbread house scene too (alternate version in comments!) but decided less is more.
What do you think? I created this after a full day shift at work and now I’m exhausted, let’s see how I go tomorrow!

After seeing a gingerbread house made on TV,my girlfirend and I decide that it would be a good rainy day project, and being in the UK we aren't short of rainy days, so we build one.
With the roof made from after eight mints, and the house and the shed made from gingerbread, this was an excelent way to start the x-mas season.
I was however very sick of gingerbread after eating most of this over the course of a week. Next time I will have to time it better to have friends of family around.

My kids made there gingerbread house. I told them to be creative. The tree and one of the gingerbread were the casualty of too many arms in the way.

This is really cool. As part of advertising for a gingerbread house building project they made a replica of the Central City Opera House. I used to love going there. I think I need to go again.
I really wanted to build a gingerbread city, but i was running out of time before Christmas so i decided to make this instead. I had a bunch of frosting left over and i didn't really know what to do so i made a fence.

went to the discovery science center to check out the star wars exhibit but i also liked seeing the various gingerbread houses made by some talented children.

A gingerbread model of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in the lobby of the Morris Inn at the University of Notre Dame. The stained glass windows were made with melterd Jolly Ranchers!
I had intended for both of them to be smiling, but the first smile didn't work out so well. But it's not too bad: the different facial expressions is a classic.
