This amazing giant fig is known locally as the Temple Fig although its common name is White Fig in line with other Ficus virens variations.
The tree stands sentinal in a cow paddock at Eungella, just out of Murwillumbah, NSW.
One does wonder that no one has sought to protect this ancient tree. Similarly impressive trees on the Atherton Tableland in North Queensland are protected and are in fact tourist attractions as indeed could this tree be.

so i am four weeks behind.
lets face it.
this is a picture that my sister took of me at la push beach in washington.
there is this enormous tree that had washed up somehow, and i saw it and said I'M GONNA CLIMB IT.
when i got up there i instantly howled like a wolf. i don't know what it is about howling, but sometimes it feels like what we're supposed to do, but instead we decide to keep it in. looking at the ocean and realizing how small i am, i couldn't help it.
God is so amazing to me. I am consistently complaining about the heat, or clients, or my dirty car, or blah blah blah and he smiles at me and keeps the waves moving on a beach a thousand miles away.
we are all so small and that makes me so happy.
and yes.
it is off this the tree that i dropped my phone into the ocean.
couldn't of picked a better time to lose the little soul drainer.
