A gorgeous tulip photographed close-up at Buxton Park in Indianola, Iowa.

Get yours soon Reese's Egg put some in your Easter basket, before some Bunny eats them all, found in North Carolina.
66782 waits for the path of 60044 out of Tunstead to Lostock Hall before it can enter the limestone works. It was pretty gloomy at this point, but I liked the headlamp reflecting on the exiting wagon sides. Then it was off up the hill to get the light going over Tunstead works.
Fortunately the 60 was crawling from a start so I 'got away' with 1/50 second.
Male Eastern Bluebird getting a drink of the liquid gold that's been non-existent. We did get an inch of rain Wed/Thur but it didn't help our severe drought. The creeks are still dry. My backyard. Central Bucks, PA.

I was trying out my new Canon R7 and it was a bright enough day that I thought I'd try my 800 f/11 lens with it. Wow! It gives me plenty of reach but probably will only work well on sunny days otherwise the ISOs will be higher than I want!
JUST in case folks were wondering where that weird duck came from that I posted yesterday, here is the duck image and if you look a what I posted just the other day you can see where the eagle beak came from. Apologies to anyone who thought it was a real animal, I did post in the Tags that it was photoshopped, among other things like humor, joke... ;)
Taken 2 April 2023 at Spenard Crossing, Anchorage, Alaska.
Why this squirrel is resorting to tearing off bark when there is plenty of suet, nuts, and seeds available is beyond me! It did not just gnaw at it for dental hygiene... it sat and ate the bark. Probably something like me and chocolate.
Barbara (Barbric) and I went out shooting yesterday morning and this was the first thing we saw. Could not resist. I hope this in some small way starts your Monday in a good way.
Alarm set due to promise of mist..... ( and not many weekday mornings left until 'H' is back at school:( )
A quick local walk on our own and worth the early start!
The Wood Duck chicks are getting bigger, but she is missing three. Kevin Fox took a picture of them on 6-16-18 and all twelve were there. Keeping our fingers crossed no more disappear. Peace Valley Park, New Britain Pa.
Get off my tree!!!
This Brown Creeper has been a regular visitor to my yard in Chester County, PA right through the Winter. Recently I noticed a second Brown Creeper and I thought they might be a pair until I witnessed my resident bird adopting this threat display when the second one got too close, and then subsequently chasing the intruder away.

PS. Some people have suggested that this my be not be aggression, but possibly courting behavior.
Decided to do some BW for a while to simply get back to the basics of what I have loved to do for most of my life. Although I love vivid colors and the magic of today's camera technology, there is something about shooting (now processing) In BW that for whatever reason feels natural. My hope is that my flickr and FB friends will indulge me a little for the next few days, as i simply go back to my roots with BW. Feel free to zoom in and check out the detail of the buildings, mountains and trees. Cheers! :-)

During our sailing days on Georgian Bay, we often had to get our bearings using the onboard navigational tools and lining up the range lights when coming into a port. Landforms were very deceiving when you saw them from offshore. This range light is found in Southampton on Lake Huron. It will be a few weeks yet before this light sees any boats coming into port.
I've had a great week off from work but today I need to get my bearings for Monday morning when I pack up for another work day!
