Here's my first image from my recently concluded trip to Kenya.
I was lucky enough to spend a couple days in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy where I was fortunate enough to see about thirty rhinos(including white, black) as well as the last two remaining northern white rhinos and also a blind rhino. This is compared to never having seen a rhino in the Masai Mara region after now having spent two weeks there over two different trips.
I focused extensively on low angle photography to try to get more into the world of the subject matter. This is a white rhino from my first game drive on my first day. Much more to follow!

I wanted more water detail, it was a fast moving river. I used an ISO of 6400, bulb setting; which in this case means I held the shutter open by hand for 60 seconds, since I'd left the remote in the car...:0) ....and low and behold....ripples! YAY! .....after all that, I forgot to check the clarity. Ok...so I'm closer....not quite there yet.

I know you're clinging to the light of day
To tell you everything's a-okay
And medication don't do much
Yeah, it just numbs the brain
Guess you might say I'm a little intense
I'm on the bright side of being hell-bent
So, take it from me, you're not the only one
Who can't see straight (can't see straight)
If you were ever in doubt
Don't sell yourself short, you might be bulletproof
Hard to move mountains when you're paralyzed
But you gotta try
And I'm calling out
Get up, get up
Get a move on

I think some of you are pulling my leg. I'm pretty sure "Working Girl" is the international colloquial term for ladies of the evening. I didn't answer any of them, even though I'm always looking for a good time..;)

Like the legend of the Phoenix
All ends with beginnings
What keeps the planet spinning
The force of love beginning
Oh we come too far
To give up who we are
So let's raise the bar
And our cups to the stars
I'm up all night to the sun
He's up all night to get some
I'm up all night for good fun
He's up all night to get lucky
We're up all night to the sun
We're up all night to get some
We're up all night for good fun
We're up all night to get lucky . . .

Like a vampire you didn't invite
Suddenly, a change stifles the air
Sucking away all your blood and energy
Whispering in your ear
"You aren't going to survive this one, dear"
Filling you with unabated darkness
Which is really strange because
Just two days ago
You were feeling so much better.

No pain, no victory
Your reign is history
'Cause we're not stoppin' 'til we break through
So take your best shot, make your move
Oh, step right up, who's next?
You're messin' with the best
We're death defyin'
Coming in like lightnin'
Look out, we're strikin'
Ready set, ready set, let's go . . .

I was going through my husband's workshop and came across a pile of hose clamps. I couldn't resist photographing them, especially with the Pentacon AV lens. There's beauty in everything....

Good morning!! My second week taking part in macro Monday. I'll admit, I almost backed out. Not sure why I'm so insecure about these type of images but there is that little voice of doubt that never seems to go away. Anyways...I'm always telling people to just post what they love even if it isn't everyones cup of tea. So here I am...posting some peely paint, little rust, and weathered old wood!! :-)
Hope you're all having a lovely start to the week! HMM!!
