The little robins in the nest just outside my window are getting bigger every day. Mom and dad are busy all the time feeding them.
About time to head back over the hills for home.
Blue hour at Elkhorn Slough, just north of Monterey, California.
About time to start thinking about finding something for dinner before heading back over the hills for home. Shot at my favorite place on the California coast, Pescadero State Beach.
Red Breasted Merganser nabs its dinner with its serrated beak well equipped for holding on to a slippery fish. Heavy Crop on this one! :)

Street photography from Glasgow, Scotland.
Colour re-edit of a shot from November 2018. One of the advertising slogans for Scotland's national soft-drink was 'Gets you through' though I only remember "Made in Scotland, from Girders!"
I hope that you have all had an awesome weekend of photography and managed to keep warm. Enjoy!

We did eventually find an area where most of the Hepaticas had a blue tone to them, although they were not as blue as in some pics we saw from previous years. It was not certain whether there is just variation from year to year and plant to plant, but we still found these to be quite attractive little flowers. St Francois State Park in Missouri
So this was returning a couple of hours later from my walk, the sun was shining and the frost was melting. Was just beautiful. I love how different light make scenes look so different.. Was a gorgeous morning. Sorry for my absence. I am going to do nothing tomorrow except catch up on Flickr. ( seeing as I’ve hurt my ankle and can hardly move I have the best excuse to sit with my feet up ) hope all is well xx
Put A lid On It
I had this idea early on but did not get it ready till an hour before posting time. I took a slightly different one also but still liked this because it was camera relevant.
So deep dana....lol

Ah that feeling is starting to seep in. That warm and fuzzy thing we call love.Prepping trees, baking cookies (eating cookies) and decorating. Please let us not forget shopping....
I think it should mainly concentrate on the love.
We have a wee bit of snow.
This masked lapwing was having one of its agitated days and let me know I was not very welcome on my own front lawn! Maybe the drizzly weather wasn't helping.
Happy Feathery Friday!
The end of Fall is getting there. As I am, in slowly catching up on Flickr after being away. This image was taken while out on a photo walk in a local park. The time change to shorter days is around the corner and the birds that remain for the winter seem to be aggressively eating at the backyard feeder - at least until some very furry looking squirrels chase them away to get at it for themselves. I may have to get a live trap to relocate these persistent and smart little rodents. In the mean time, have a Happy Sliders Sunday!
Walking the shore line of the Delaware shore line I found this structure to be interesting enough to capture. Interesting look at visual perspective built of wood. Low tide provided this opportunity to enjoy the structure and the great shadow it provided. Thanks for viewing my work. Stay safe, be kind and wash your hands🙏.
