Heading west on 190 we traversed Panamint Valley, below, climbed our way across the near mountains, and then hugged the Sierra Nevada southward.
In the distance is Panamint Springs, now a park village, Father Crowley Point, and Mt. Whitney, the tallest mountain in the lower 48. Roll your mouse over the image to see them noted.
Sorry for the overload of wedding shots (more to come) but as I took nearly 2000 photos, it kinda left me with no choice :-)

Mos, 34 - Sydney, Australia. Self portrait. For me, the "get your gear out" was a call to get away from my usual haunts and try a new location. I also wanted to highlight that gear doesn't make the shot- by showing how silly it looks when you try and juxtapose it into a scene. Ironically, it turned into quite a fun shoot - hanging lenses, speed lights and modifiers from branches with twine. Originally I wanted to showcase the deep greens of the moss against the wintery trees in the Blue Mountains. Yet the colors - while beautiful - were a distracting from the subjects, so I converted to monochrome. Shot on a D700, 50mm 1.8. Comments appreciated
I worked for three hours on Friday to get my jeep back on the road. I insured it on Thursday because everything was going to be closed for Easter Weekend. People were blaming the snow on me but I insured it because of the +15 C. that we were suppose to get this weekend. And by gollie we got it!
It's been fantastic. i haven't driven it too much because I can pretty much walk everywhere and with gas prices I can't justify driving too much. But I am very happy to be driving it again. I even bought myself a new jeep jacket. Looking forward to a great season.
Cheers!
More negatives scanned in using the new Epson scanner. Black and white Arista.edu 100 speed film scanned in as color. Self developed. Shot with the Ansco Shur Flash.
This pic was really dark, so when I scanned this negative in as color, I got apocalypse colors!

my challenge is from Shawn (aka Kuffaar)
My choice of three options.
1. stars is its pitch black where i live, or the milky way.
2.Self portrait aka selfie
3.stranger portrait with some background info.
So as you can see I chose selfie, its the first time I've done this and I actually had fun doing it. this was taken in a covered bridge in Marysville, Ohio. Thanks Shawn for the challenge, I thought it turned out pretty well, I have one more in my photostream and I also took a strangers photo that i posted there also, but I liked this one better.
