My choice of three options.
1. stars is its pitch black where i live, or the milky way.
2.Self portrait aka selfie
3.stranger portrait with some background info.
So as you can see I chose selfie, its the first time I've done this and I actually had fun doing it. this was taken in a covered bridge in Marysville, Ohio. Thanks Shawn for the challenge, I thought it turned out pretty well, I have one more in my photostream and I also took a strangers photo that i posted there also, but I liked this one better.

My friend / neighbour went on a cruise to Hawaii. She became ill, on the ship, and was admitted straight into ICU when they docked in Hilo. It's been a nightmare but she's home now and recuperating.
She is an avid gardener and flower lover so I hope this little bouquet, I bought yesterday, cheered her up.

Geneva’s biggest celebration is L’Escalade (www.escalade.ch), commemorating the failed attempt by the Duke of Savoy to seize the town by surprise on the night of December 11–12, 1602. Locals dress up in costume and parade by torchlight around the streets with drums and fifes, groups of kids sing in city-centre cafés, and confectioner’s sell the Marmite d’Escalade, a small pot made of chocolate and filled with marzipan “vegetables” to commemorate a Genevan housewife who dispatched a Savoyard soldier by tipping her boiling soup over his head from a high window. A few days before is the Course d’Escalade, a fun-run through town.
