I challenge you to take three of your favorite things (or a representation of) and compose a lovely still-life. You can light and process it as you wish, but it should be representative of your personality and style. "
I first had to think of three (notice how I scored a couple of extras?) favorite things. I hope it's a lovely still-life. I looked at the project as a story. In the year 2035 a grandchild is given a very old leather suitcase. The story she is told: this suitcase belonged to your great-grandmother, and years ago your grandmother treated it like a time capsule and packed away three (or four) things that had meaning for her. There is a letter, hand-written, that tells a bit about your grandmother, but she hoped that these objects would give you a broader picture of what was important to her and what were some things that shaped her life. Inside the suitcase the grandchild found: a wedding photo in a silver frame, an old toy car, a photo of three young adults, a bald doll, and a yellowed school schedule of some sort. The grandchild took them out, examined them, and pieced together significant pieces from the life of her aging grandmother. Whether the child was correct will never matter. What is important is that she held the objects and gave them life again.

so he asked me to do the same : capture a bird.
Have done this before, but always when the opportunity
presented itself; I don't see myself lying hidden somewhere
and waiting for the right moment to capture a bird, lol
Because of the winter season there are not many birds to be seen,
so I captured an empty bird's nest instead, here @ my front door,
this nest was exposed when I decided to cut the hedge last summer.
I promised louloulerot I would let him know whenever I can capture a real life bird ;)
My reason for going to Church today wasn't quite the same as most peoples...I wanted another chance to get close to a Wren! I managed to get nearer than last time but in my opinion still not quite near enough...I shall return:)

I have been working on this during my free time. It features the lyrics to Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip "Get Better".
They recently set up a facebook page after the London Riots -
After all the nonsense on the streets of England this last week, this song has a clear and relevant message. Buy the tune now and get it charting if we can, so more people can hear it, and perhaps heed this advice.
I'm trying to get 'Get Better' by Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip some exposure in light of the recent rioting in London and across the country, and get the wonderful message contained in the lyrics of the song out there in a time of need for such words. The mesmerising chorus says it all, and the song manages to say all that the politicians are unable to get across in a way that can be understood by those who need to hear it. I believe it sums up the sentiment of many people towards the young people involved in the rioting: not that we are het up against them, but that we just want them to be better people.
The facebook group is kicking off in an amazing way, with 824 members in just 17 hours! Please like the page and spread the word, and maybe we can use music to calm the rioters troubled souls.

This is what my average photo shoot looks like. Everything's set up on my bed.
With the arrival of the new M8s, the M2. M4, and M6 MUs are beginning to meet their maker. Here, M2 #8515 sits on the head end of a train with several other Cosmopoltians. After leaving the property, these MUs will be shipped to Frontier Industrial Corp for scrapping.
Three windows to get installed and it's tight to the weather! A lot to go after that to call it done but able to go camping without amenities soon.
