A long exposure from Wednesday night as Storm Doris was brewing in the sky, the high water level gave a slightly different look to this well shot place
There are no lines in nature, only areas of colour,

color sx-70 film
Clinging to the last vestiges of colour, this lone stem reaches skyward, its deep purple blossoms a defiant splash of life against a brooding, heavy sky. The contrast between the soft beauty of the living flowers and the dry, spent texture of the seed heads tells a silent story of transition and resilience, reminding us that even amidst the darkest clouds, a flash of vibrant beauty can persist.
Such a lovely moment when we stopped along the way, to gaze at the sunset as it drifted down to the horizon.
16 bracketed shots, 48 frames total for this Pano, still doesnt do the scene justice. What a crazy wild fascinating place...outer worldly. Click on this link for some great information. www.americansouthwest.net/utah/factory-butte/index.html
The days grow darker earlier, the air turns colder and mistier. I was drawn to capture a bleak and quiet moment at an aging hardware store. There is a certain melancholy in the scene, a reminder that it is time to accept the end of summer, no matter how hard it may be.
This is a shot of Skiddaw mountain in the north of the Lake District, England. It is the sixth highest mountain in England. I captured this shot after a climb up to the top of Blencathra, a fell to the south-east of Skiddaw. This view also affords views of the Solway Coast and Scotland, in the top right of the photo.

...you can’t buy happiness but you can do a quick two day one night backpacking trip to Imogene Lake in the Sawtooths. Imogene Lake is an alpine lake in Custer County, Idaho, United States, located in the Sawtooth Mountains in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. The lake is approximately 15 miles southwest of Stanley.
My friend Tobias and I have been on a two-day hike in the Palatinate Forest in begin of August, 2025. We climbed up this sandstone formation in the dark and with our headlamps on. The weather was windy and partly wet. But we really enjoyed the view and the mood up there. We would stay out for hiking and shooting for the whole day and would have a warm dinner and campfire in the evening and a good night sleep in our tents.

The sin of inadvertence, not being alert, not quite awake, is the sin of missing the moment of life-live with unremitting alertness.
