Yesterday along the trail to Helen lake looking down along the Icefields Parkway in Banff Ntl. Park, Alberta Canada
Photo taken on day three of our backpack along the Wokkpash Loop in the Stone Mountain Provincial Park/Northern Rocky Mountain Provincial Park. This day we started just below the large narrow Wokkpash Lake and hiked to ranger cabin at the end of the lake.
Enjoying some time down on the Mendip Hills for a couple of hours before Storm Ciara swept across the UK a few weekends ago.

Devil's Fork Loop Trail, Fort Blackmore, Virginia.
"The Devil's Fork Loop Trail provides an impressively beautiful route through an old-growth hemlock and rhododendron forest. Amazing rock formations, waterfalls, swimming holes and mountain views give you plenty to see and do, but keep one eye on the trail, as the going can be rough. Although the trail follows yellow blazes for its entire 7 miles, poor maintenance means it is often difficult to find the blazes and the path, which, in several places, scrambles over large rocks or up very steep cliff faces." What a surprise show tonight!
I got lucky traveling through Vincentown at a spot I've shot from before with good luck and I got to watch as this line of storms that had been kind of parked west of the city finally started to move out as the sun went down. There was so much lightning in this line, it was like a disco. First, C2C was only visible by the brightness in the sky but as this moved in, it started jumping out of the clouds every second. This thing had structure, presenting both a decent shelf cloud and a well formed wall cloud, and so, so, so much lightning.
