It's name would suggest this little plant from the Sirimon trail on Mt Kenya did not pay attention in geography class.
A whole year old! Amy kept it alive all winter and I hope I have learned to do the same. A gift from a student's mom last year.
One day I found a wild geranium growing in the alley behind our house. It was literally growing in a pile of dust, next to the trash dumpster. Bone dry earth and I knew this flower would eventually be destroyed by the dumpster. It was about 18 inches high and beautiful. I carefully pulled out the one tap root it had and replanted it in our garden. It naturally wilted back quite a bit before catching hold in the moist garden soil. It grew into a bigger, even more beautiful plant. Then one morning we came out to find a bunny rabbit chewing it down to its bare stalks. We blocked the bunny from getting back at it and in a few weeks it regrew into a nice plant again. This is one tough geranium. We should all be so resilient.
