Geranium argus, Eumedonia eumedon, ruskosinisiipi, Finland.
Geranium argus is a small brown butterfly that feeds on cranesbill (Geranium / kurjenpolvi) plants. It is quite common in Finland near forest areas. The long white stripe in the middle of the underwing is a good attribute for identification.
Flor silvestre / wildflower.
- Nombre científico o latino: Geranium sanguineum.
- Nombre común o vulgar: geranio sangre.
- Familia: Geraniaceae.
My geraniums are still beautifully growing at this time of this year.
It's so joyful to see, when most of the other flowers are dying off.
Botanically this perennial bloomer is known as Geranium maculatum. Commonly, it has a host of colloquial names, including cranesbill or cranesbill geranium, alum root, wild cranesbill, spotted geranium and wood geranium.

It doesnt fly, its not an insect ... just a simple flower, just for a change for me!!
Grow these in your garden, bees love em. They can be split and replanted where ever you want and come back every year .
These wild flowers have multiplied nicely in my backyard. Somewhat a success story.
