The Grant Boyhood Home in Georgetown, Ohio was where Ulysses S. Grant lived from 1823 until 1839,[3] when he left for the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Jesse and Hanna Grant built the two story cottage in 1823. They later added an addition onto the home in 1828. Ulysses left home in 1839.
In 1976, the house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Nine years later, it was designated a National Historic Landmark.
Today we had a filmshooters meetup in Georgetown. I shot film, but since I'd done the same thing two weeks ago, I decided to take a few shots with my digital camera, too. I tried to do most of them in black and white as some sort of "handicap" vs. the film photographers.

In Aug 2013 we rode the Georgetown Loop Railroad in Colorado. The 4.5 mile narrow gauge route links Georgetown and Silverplume. It was rebuilt in the 1980's and opened as a tourist line. Extensive work was required, including building a completely new version of the Devil's Gate high steel bridge.
