These tiled San Francisco steps were created by 220 neighbors in Golden Gate Heights. Just one of the neatest neighborhood projects I've seen. It's a heck of a climb actually, but the detail is incredible, just a little hidden SF treasure.

Chop Gate is a small village in the Hambleton district of North Yorkshire, England. The village lies within the North York Moors National Park
I was coming back from urbex, very wet day, looked back sun came out for about 2 mins, light up field and then disappeared and rained again.

A Wicket Gate at Shrewsbury Castle in Shropshire.
A wicket gate is a small defensive pedestrian door made of heavy timber.
The door is framed by red sandstone blocks, characteristic of the castle's military architecture.
It likely served to allow servants, guards, and officials to pass through while keeping the main gates closed for security.

A covered gate, usually at the entrance to a churchyard. The term lych evolved from the Saxon word for corpse, and the lych gate was traditionally a place where corpse bearers caried the body of a deceased person and laid it on a communal bier. The priest would then carry out the first part of a burial ceremony under the shelter of the lych gate roof. Lych gates are usually of wood, and thus subject to decay. For that reason many are fairly modern reconstructions of much older timber covered gateways. They are traditionally roofed with wooden or clay tiles, or thatch.
With the halogen fllodlights and the street lights clashing, the picture was a horrendous frame of orange, owing to having my 80a filter on i was able to recover the shot to what you see, for night photography enthusiasts i highly recommend this filter to deal with street light pollution.
"Golden Gate Splendor:" All I could think of when I arrived at this spot and took in the view of the canyon with its rich golden rocks and vibrant foliage below was that it was as if these majestic towering gates were opening up to a sea of color rising between them.
The tradition of the Welcome Gate is that it said to passerbys that this was a ranch, but friends are welcome. This is our ranch gate -- we have two because the one on the left is over an old road, and the one on the right is over our newer driveway.

Golden Gate Bridge toll may climb near $10 by 2023.
The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District’s board of directors on Friday will consider a proposal to increase tolls on the bridge over five years starting July 1.
The board meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday in the board’s office in the Toll Plaza building.
