Torii Gate - Jungle Gardens - Avery Island, Louisiana. One from my December 2019 archives. I did not realize the significance of the entrance to the area of the shrine until I saw a photo on Facebook posted by David Akoubian. He named it as a Torii Gate; his photo was from Gibbs Gardens.
With over 200,000 photos of the Golden Gate Bridge on Flickr, I think many of us who take pictures of this bridge have second thoughts about adding ours to the masses.
As with any fine piece of architecture or engineering, The Bridge takes on different characteristics as the weather, water, and light all change around it.
In conclusion, there are not enough photos of the Golden Gate Bridge, so here is another one.
This is taken from Fort Baker, on the Marin side.

The Golden Gate Bridge at night. I've been meaning to get up to San Francisco and shoot this since moving to the area half a year ago. Was finally able to make it a priority. This city is slowly growing on me.
This one is for the GOLDEN BEARS of the University of California, who beat Stanford at Big Game this weekend 34-28! GREAT game.
The Campanile, or Sather Tower, is the symbol of the University of California, often called the world's best public university. The tower stands 307 feet tall and houses 61 bells which are rung three times daily by a carillon choir. It was originally built in 1914.
This is a shot I've been planning since I moved to Berkeley this summer. The University had been repairing the scaffolded Campanile all fall, and it was finally unveiled last week.
Go Bears! Go Cal!
Canon 5D, Canon 100-400L, f/13, 6s, ISO 50. Two exposure blend to retain the detail in the water and the color in the sky.

This majestic gate, officially known as "Thunder Gate," stands as a testament to Japan's rich cultural heritage and architectural prowess. The Kaminarimon Gate, originally constructed in 941 AD, has undergone several reconstructions, with the current structure dating back to 1960. Flanked by statues of Fujin, the god of wind, and Raijin, the god of thunder, the gate symbolizes protection and prosperity. The intricate wooden carvings and traditional tiled roof reflect the exquisite craftsmanship of the Edo period.

This vibrant thoroughfare is lined with stalls offering traditional snacks, souvenirs, and crafts, providing a sensory feast for visitors. The Kaminarimon Gate is not just an architectural marvel but also a cultural hub, hosting various festivals and events throughout the year. Its strategic location in Asakusa makes it easily accessible and a must-visit for anyone exploring Tokyo. Whether you are a history enthusiast, architecture aficionado, or simply a curious traveler, the Kaminarimon Gate offers a captivating glimpse into Japan's storied past and vibrant present. Lion's gate bridge has to be one of the greatest sights at night. This shot was taken on a super sketchy bridge that bounced when cars would pass. Also being harassed by a guy high on mushrooms.
"The Brandenburg Gate (German: Brandenburger Tor) is an 18th-century neoclassical monument in Berlin, and one of the best-known landmarks of Germany. It is built on the site of a former city gate that marked the start of the road from Berlin to the town of Brandenburg an der Havel.
It is located in the western part of the city centre of Berlin within Mitte, at the junction of Unter den Linden and Ebertstraße, immediately west of the Pariser Platz. One block to the north stands the Reichstag building that houses the German parliament (Bundestag). The gate is the monumental entry to Unter den Linden, the renowned boulevard of linden trees, which led directly to the royal City Palace of the Prussian monarchs.
It was commissioned by King Frederick William II of Prussia as a sign of peace and built by architect Carl Gotthard Langhans from 1788 to 1791. Having suffered considerable damage in World War II, the Brandenburg Gate was restored from 2000 to 2002 by the Stiftung Denkmalschutz Berlin (Berlin Monument Conservation Foundation).
During the post-war Partition of Germany, the gate was isolated and inaccessible immediately next to the Berlin Wall. The area around the gate was featured most prominently in the media coverage of the tearing down of the wall in 1989, and the subsequent German reunification in 1990.
Throughout its existence, the Brandenburg Gate was often a site for major historical events and is today considered a symbol of the tumultuous history of Europe and Germany, but also of European unity and peace.."

The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate strait, the one-mile-wide, one-point-seven-mile-long channel between San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
A bright yellow gate stands at the southern end of the Cowell-Purisima Trail in Half Moon Bay, California. The quarter-mile trail is open to the public who must park their vehicles on this side of the yellow gate and walk the quarter-mile distance to the Pacific Ocean shoreline. The trail has been open since 2011.
How can you go to San Francisco without taking pictures of the Golden Gate bridge? I cannot. Despite the fact that there are already zillions of such pictures on flickr, a lot of them much better than this one. But: this one is mine!
I would have preferred to go there earlier when it was not so dark, but I had to work. Okay, I do not complain. Not everyone has the opportunity to ride across this beautiful bridge after work just for fun.
