Haha, I've been wanting to do this one for awhile, and I finally got my excuse. I had fun doing this one .. except I really did end up making a huuge mess. Whatevs.

I love milk, a lot. I drink like 1-3 cups a day usually (including coffees.) In nutrition we had to make do a journaling of our diet for a week, and I was wayy over my calcium minimum with all my milk drinking and lattes.

The uk weather today was so terribly yuck yuck yuck. It was raining when I took this. I even had an orange cardigan in the car but it was just too cold and wet to faff around with changing and getting the angle spot on.

For FGR and Asymmetrical symmetry.

I'd been thinking of picking a symmetry based group for my day but Tabrel beat me to it. Mind you, this asymmetry lark is a lot harder than symmetry for this sort of thing! It's not perfect by a long shot but it'll have to do - my PS skills are in their early stages and I'm too tired to do any more!

My idea was around personality/good and evil - not sure if it comes across successfully! I did do a version with a halo and horns but preferred this one.

Shot for today’s FGR, "I propose a toast to the hat" in "A Clockwork Orange" style*

and I cheated, I had to Photoshop in the eyelash, otherwise I would have needed to make a trip out to buy .... fake eyelashes or whatever you would use (I don’t have any of that stuff despite what others may say!) I tried a dark blue eye pencil (which I "just" happend to have) and that just looked poo, I did briefly flirt with the idea of a permanent black marker...... but that could have been horribly difficult to remove....

Lightroom: crop, export to Photoshop

Photoshop: adjust levels, saturation +15, resize, USM sharpen 150% R0.3, save to JPG.

Strobist: 580EXII @ 1/8 to camera right into shoot through umbrella, full setup here. I really should have used a rim light to catch the back of the rim and cut me away from the background but I only realised that afterwards once I looked at the shots on the PC :(

Today is the last day of what I have come to know as Flickr Group Roulette. I am so thankful that I came across this group and was able to participate in it's fun. I can understand why they have decided to take it down, and well, since The Rogue Players has started up, I'm not as bummed anymore. This group has helped me with ideas to do for my 365 Days project, and if it wasn't for them, I think I would have quit a while ago. Granted, I'm not as inventive as most of the participants, but seeing all the different ideas has brought a smile to my face for the short time I was a part of the group. I have plans to follow on twitter, facebook, and the new fugger blog, and possibly purchase things from the store when it's up and running. I can't wait to see what goodies are in store, and how the new FGR will progress in the coming months. :)

A little morbid, yes... but this is taken from one of my favourite books: Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach. Believe it or not, it's a good read, and quite interesting and not really morbid at all. I have always found the human body fascinating, and as I have said previously, I have nearly all my life, wanted to be a forensic pathologist. How the human body works is such an intriguing thing.

*EXPLORE* - January 7, 2009

I couldn't resist today's FGR pick which is In Tarantino We Trust. It's also Bokeh Wednesday so I had to try to combine the two.

When I first had the idea for this shot I was thinking about either guarding the bokeh or it being something along the lines of "When bokeh goes bad" and needs dealing with. I'm not sure which way the plot should go so any creative input would be very welcome.

Before anyone points it out - yes I do have other better things to do with my time but this was much more fun!

I finally got round to learning how to use the magnetic lasso and I also discovered how to change the brush colour so the day wasn't completely wasted!

Ever want to change something about The Rogue Players or Flickr Group Roulette? Well the time is right to get in on the ground floor of the new mutation of a beloved pair of groups. FGR and TRP were started as frolicking, inspirational groups for those doing a 365 project. Now, like a vagabond circus troupe, the members are closing down the old tent, pulling up stakes and traveling to a new place. From the new group, they will continue to frolick and generate good natured mayhem and madness about flickrland. We will do a 30 day tribute period to our dearly departed playpens, and then after a head of steam is collected, we will begin the game again in earnest.

Today's flickr group roulette challenge was Super Dork, so I had no choice but to play along. I had this costume lying around from a few Halloweens ago and figured it was perfect for my new alter ego, El Trojan de Oro (aka The Golden Trojan)!

I couldn't decide between this flying photo or the classic "superhero staring off courageously into the distance" photo, but my lovely wife TeeRish helped me settle on this one.

PS - I'm considering submitting this to the wardrobe_remix group. Black rubber rain boots are coming back in style, I tells ya!
