Dubrovnik, ou Raguse de son ancien nom français (tiré de l'italien Ragusa), est une ville et une municipalité de Croatie, capitale du Comitat de Dubrovnik-Neretva. Elle fut autrefois la capitale d'une république maritime connue sous le nom de République de Raguse. Ses habitants, ainsi que ce qui s'y rapporte, s'appellent encore des ragusains.
Au recensement de 2001, la municipalité comptait 43 770 habitants, dont 88,39 % de Croates, 3,26 % de Serbes, et 3,17 % de Bosniaques1 et la ville seule comptait 30 436 habitants2.

Set beneath the mountain where Moses is said to have received the Ten Commandments, Saint Catherine Monastery has been one of the world’s great centers of religious pilgrimage for over fifteen centuries. Within its imposing walls rests a citadel like no other, incredibly rich in important religious and historical structures. Among its treasures is a library of ancient manuscripts and icons second only to the Vatican's itself, and a 6th century church reputed to lie directly on the site of the Burning Bush. Quite simply, the monastery is a defining feature of the Holy Land.
A brand new project I've started working on this summer is my 'Audio Guide' series.
As I was walking around Stonehenge I noticed something that had been bothering me on my last few visits to big old attractions. It was quiet. Abnormally quiet. Especially when you consider the volume of people visiting there.
When I was little there were noisy groups following one guide, waving their arms around expressively in just about any given language. You could stand and listen for a while (feeling like a naughty hanger on) or you could browse the informational placques dotted in relevant places. Now, there are Audio Guides.
They are probably interesting, I must admit I've never taken one, but as a photographer I like to soak up the scene with sights, smells, sounds and all. Now I began to notice couples distanced from each other. Groups in uncanny silence. Spectators with blank, distant looks.
And I began hipshooting with the iPhone, trying to capture the same expression I was witnessing over and over again.
I guess this is a small study for what could become a much larger project for me and my 5d. Heck I could even use the Pentax 6x7 because no one would notice the sound of the shutter. They are too busy listening to the Audio Guide.

so i got to life guard for a show called guiding light its a soap opera and i wound up being a extra for it the one episode was on the other day so i decided to make something from the screen shots... hahah... idk if you can even see the words let me know if you can't

Dunluce Guide House, opposite Dunluce Castle. It's used by the Girl Guides for camps and weekends. It has space outside for camping and areas indoor for those who'd rather be warm and dry!
We had Dem last year too. Super cool guy. He likes to ride with us as well as log heli time with Nicolas MÜller, Travis Rice, & some guy named Terje.
Elias, Sedeki and Francis who all guided us safely to the summit of Africa here seen at Stella Point at daybreak.
Rocky is blind. He's twelve and blind for two years now. He does most everything he used to do and his guiding eyes find you where ever you are. Nose, ears and touch compensate so completely that you wouldn't believe he's blind. Till you look in his strange blue eyes. What irony that Labradors make excellent guiding dogs for the visualy impaired.

This friendly little pooch joined us for about 5 miles of an 8 mile walk round Loch Coulin. Nobody else around, just wanted some company I think. Very sweet.
