2024 International Flower & Garden Festival
EPCOT - flower-show display - Bright & Magical!
Orlando, Florida U.S.A. - 4/26/24 - Spring 2024
Beautiful bright colors abound wherever you look during the
annual Flower and Garden Festival, held every March-May.
It features fantastic gardens and amazing Disney topiary.
Could not have been a more beautiful day! Come and visit!
The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, inaugurated in 1994, uses specially themed floral displays throughout the park, including topiary sculptures of Disney characters. Guests can meet gardening experts and learn new ideas they can use in their own home gardens. The 30th annual event is scheduled for March 1, with an extended run of two months, leading up to July 5. Each event takes more than a full year to plan and more than 20,000 cast
member hours. Just a joy to behold annually in Central Florida.
Cassette Tapes - This brings back many fond memories. Way back then, my friends and I would request our favorite songs on the radio and wait for it to be played on air so that we can record them. That became our playlist and anthem. Cassette tapes were quite expensive for students like us, so we have to save up for them or otherwise borrow from each other. Now things are a lot easier, but our music lives on :)
Seltaist first appeared in the form of a divine statue. She was forged by the remains of a great one and served by sharp scholars known as Eladonian’s. The remains of the great one were so peculiar it was difficult for the tribe to identify which entity they may have come from however Themia believes that Seltiast is closely related to Gheos, a former goddess of inspiration as they both represent similar ideals. When the Eladonian’s fell to devastation Commundus removed the statue, burning the holy object down to its core, and sentencing his former comrades to gruesome deaths. Years later a strange creature stumbled upon a chamber filled with dozens of corpses and the remains of Seltiast, by performing a ghastly ritual it was able reanimate her spirit however this act likely led to the creatures own demise.
Seltiast is a compassionate spirt who now looks after the suffering, and unwanted, spreading prosperity and telepathically communicating to the congregations who gather in worship of her. The face and claws of the entity resemble that of her former body, and connect to the spirit as if fused on. Just beyond her back are tentacles capable of absorbing, or deflecting attacks. Each of these tentacles carries a powerful blessing gifting her with the ability to perform miracles all while leaving behind a blue aura. Many of her believers have taken a liking to the Eladonian’s, striving to acquire heaps of information on this special race, and mimicking their best qualities. Seltaist is well aware of the Eladonian’s eventual fate, she is impelled by their memories, and continues to uphold a similar structure to the one they established. Though the goddess is unaware of any potential survivors, perhaps the remaining may continue the path they once begun or pledge themselves to the will of another entity. Alternatively their existence will serve a greater purpose

i wasn't feeling it yesterday.
i have a handful of sparkly tiaras and such and placed one on my head for the Flickr Roulette group.
I guess you know you are doomed when you find yourself crying on the way to work at 7 in the morning.
yesterday only got crappier by the moment.
came home, showered, put on a tiara, snapped a shot and here you go.

This is Alexandra who I have photographed several times before, she is Miss Iceland 2008. Got this idea to dress someone up in Siffon and put a fan/wind on them a while back and finally got to do the shoot, I think Alexandra was perfect for the shoot. The concept is that she is some sort of goddess or angel.
2 lights for this one, two umbrellas pointed at the backround. Eva Hrönn did the makeup and Auður came along and was a big help with the outfit.
This is one of the my favorite flower.
I took their some photos at same place in last Spring.
But I forgot their name ;(
I got it !!!
Their name is "Ribes sanguineum"
