Haven't used this Sky Patrol Skyhawk very much, so I decided to make a return to aerial shots.

Roadblock is in a bad spot behind enemy lines. It's a head swapped custom I created after putting Stalker's head on a different body.

But don't worry. He'll be back with Ma Deuce, and all the Vipers in the world won't be able to hold him down.

Snow Job tends to a Polar Battle Bear at GI Joe's arctic HQ. The figure is a custom using a repainted head from Rock and Roll.

Fun fact I learned from a YouTube reviewer, the strange slots in the GI Joe Command Center are a perfect match for this snowmobile, even though it's not mentioned in the blueprints.

This one makes me hear the music to John Carpenter's The Thing.

Remembering Stanley Weston, who conceived of the original GI Joe action figures.

His creative vision led to a whole lot of fun for collectors, customizers, and kids all over.

Joe daydreams while on patrol.... envisioning a better tomorrow, today.

As Black Legions makes there patrol around a crime ridden neighborhood they see rebel activity everywhere. With these new Helmets Cobra has supplied, watching and being alert has become much easier. The troops are more observant and the breathable room lets the go twice as far on foot.

Okay I promise last shot for a day atleast of the New helmets there just so versatile and freaking cool!

Another Lost World pic, this time with customs of Breaker and Joe Colton.

The lizards in the back are dollar store dinos, the orange makes them stand out nicely in the pics.

This setting is my way of bringing the '70s Adventure Team feel into ARAH.

Sgt Slaughter and a custom version of Duke lead the team in calisthenics.

There's a custom Stalker and ARAH Sgt Savage in there as well.

Custom Stalker and other Joes in the jungle. The torso is from Tracker.

In this picture it's easier to see the other customs, Dial Tone using the torso of Falcon, Spirit using the torso of Wild Bill, and Zap using parts from Mutt.

In the Lost World, Rock and Roll, Roadblock, and Outback just took down the king of the food chain. But it took a lot of ammo to do it.

I really enjoyed using these customs in a photo. The dino is a goofy-looking one, but that doesn't matter if you use it right.

Custom versions of Recondo and Clutch meet a new foe in the Lost World.

Crusher could have been a star professional wrestler, but his short temper and problems with authority led to his banishment from the sport. Unscrupulous and destructive, he's had many encounters with police, and after stealing a badge as a trophy, he eventually came across the dreadnoks and was recruited in.

An imposing show-off, Crusher mainly serves as another enforcer for the 'noks, and helps keep the other new bloods in line.

I've been wanting to redo my custom of this guy for some time now. My goal was to make him look more like a wrestler this time around.

The classic '86 figure that stands out in Cobra blue.

Thanks to Black Major, I now have a use for Night Creeper Leader. I have no idea why Hasbro made the figure in Tiger Force colors, but there you have it, and he looks pretty good with those Black Major troopers. I did have to adjust the colors a bit for more of a match, but it's the first time I've ever been inclined to use this figure "as is."

Stalker and other custom Joes in the jungle.

This was a pretty early custom of mine, and I'm pretty sure it was the first time I tried painting camo.

This isn't a popular version of Snake Eyes, but I like him for the DEF.

GI Joe after World War III.

I haven't photographed any of my post apocalypse customs in a while, but the idea is that Hawk is rebuilding the team in a Mad Max kind of future, after the bombs fell.

For a long time I've had trouble figuring out how to create a desert scene when I don't actually live in a desert. Here's what I came up with.

There's a few things here that are specifically devoted to a desert environment, but I was surprised how many standard Joes and vehicles I had that seemed like a good fit.

Eco Warriors Flint in my recently created diorama.

This was originally a test shot, but I decided to post it.

This was inspired by the cover of GI Joe 235. The Zap is a custom version, although it's hard to see it.

Naval Trooper custom repaint.

G.I.JOE: Resolute Revisited

One of the best franchise re-incarnations to date. Resolute showed a more matured and realistic take on the G.I.JOE story. Here's my photo shoot featuring the heroes, Duke, Flint, Beachhead and of course, Snake Eyes.

A couple of Eels are in turquoise waters, looking for the sunken treasure that will fund Cobra Commander's next scheme.

I guess winter isn't over after all. This is why I hate the month of March.

The cape on Destro came from a Game of Thrones figure, I'm not 100% sure which but I thought it was a good cold weather accessory for Cobra.

The '97 Storm Shadow is sporting arms from Ryu, I like it better as an arctic version. And my custom Crimson Guard Armadillo always seems to work well in snow pics.

Viper Officer custom on the left using the head M. Bison.

And Combat Tele-Viper on the right using the torso of Mercer v2.

My custom of Zartan's daughter gets upgraded for the 3rd time. Brand new arms and torso this time around.

When Iceberg didn't report back, a Polar Battle Bear was dispatched with Lifeline on hand in case of emergency.

Hopefully there's no need to slice open a taun taun.

Even though Lifeline is the standard figure I didn't feel he needed a cold weather custom version, something about the red rescue gear just works.

A Crimson Immortal became a victim of his own doing. What Happens when you pen your Big Mouth and say you could take the Boa! Big Boa Power Punch thats what!

this is the song playing as big boa destroys the Crimson Immortal

A couple of my recent customs get the drop on Cobra Troopers.

A post apocalypse Snow Serpent. This Cobra was stranded on Earth with Major Bludd's battalion when the nuclear missiles were detonated. Unlike the more fortunate legion of Cobra troops aboard Cobra Space Station with Cobra Commander, Bludd's crew has had to raid, hunt, and scavenge. And they lost many men in the process.

At this point little is left of this soldier's original uniform, but I hope the head and collar give the feeling of the classic figure.

An excellent Cobra troop builder. I guess I never really used them right. They're supposed to be infiltrators of society, but in my childhood games they were always just infantry.

Recondo is an old favorite.

Can't say I'm a huge fan of this guy, but I found this version dirt cheap. This was definitely a weird time for the Joes.

Had our first snowfall of the year last night in my area. I took the opportunity to try working the very disliked Baroness rifle into the pics, based on a conversation I had on the Viper Pit blog.

Here I have the weapon with Snow Job. His usual gun and this one are both laser rifles, so I think this actually makes a nice scoped variant for him.

I took a few pics with it, this being the first.

All the figures in this photo are Marines. That's a custom Bullhorn in the lead.

My childhood Steeler and MOBAT. Also my first Joes, which I got as a birthday gift along with Major Bludd and several others.

Shipwreck and 50th anniversary Polly are lounging on the job. I'm not a huge fan of the modern Joes, but I do love mixing in the modern accessories and vehicles sometimes.

My third attempt at Stalker. this one came out better than the others.

Sarge runs a couple of Vipers straight into the ground.

I honestly feel a lot like those Vipers lately.

A combined Cobra Bunker and some custom Anti-tank troopers assigned to it.

I didn't expect much from this shot, but I ended up liking the way it came out.

I found the original file card from my childhood Steel Brigade. I thought it had been lost years ago, but it was in a box at my parents' house.

His name was supposed to be Jet Stream but they messed it up and wrote Sea Stream for some bizarre reason. So you can see the corrections I made.

In action this time. I've enjoyed coming up with logical uses for the Baroness laser rifle.

Custom Flak Vipers painted in the scheme of the original Vipers.

I thought these guys made sense as Asp gunners.
