A weird "vehicle" that's actually out of scale in its boxed form, the Coastal Defender is somehow cool anyway.
I picked Cross Country because the colors of this one actually match the Havok pretty well.
Sometimes I get tired of using them in the pics, but pound for pound they may be the best troop builders in GI Joe.
This one is a pretty good figure. Also a very crisp example considering its age.
I photographed it against the real sky to create the illusion of altitude.
Crimson Invasor leads the pack. It's a Black Major custom, and the red Vipers are from the '02 con set. My custom Crimson Tele-Viper is visible in the background.
G.I.JOE: Resolute Revisited
One of the best franchise re-incarnations to date. Resolute showed a more matured and realistic take on the G.I.JOE story. Here's my photo shoot featuring the heroes, Duke, Flint, Beachhead and of course, Snake Eyes.

Elite Vipers don't stand a chance against the original GI Joe.
The red Invasor is by Black Major (not my custom).
This was my very first custom figure, an arctic version of Cobra Commander inspired by a pic I saw online. The legs are from Iceberg and the head was taken from a broken figure I had all the way from childhood. The Cobra logo was a leftover from a repro sheet for the Hiss II.
"Man, I dunno. It looks like we should be on track, but I don't see any river around here...."
"Whatever, dude. I say we just get back in the buggy and keep going. We could totally disappear out here and nobody would ever find us!"
This was a shot I took before work started sending me all over, and I forgot to upload it. Everything is brown outside now, so I'll have to revisit this "story" next year. The buggy is some version of the PTE mold that DaTalent did a few years back. I suddenly remembered it when I was touching up these Jungle Vipers this summer.
The Joe attack copter is one of my favorite vehicles in the line. This shot came from my setup in the yard the other day.
I have Wild Bill in the front seat based on the box art, but I believe the pilot actually sits in the back in a real chopper.
After a fierce urban battle, the Cobra troops proved themselves stronger than the remainder of the Steel Brigade forces that defended the city.
Chuck Norris custom figure based on one of my favorite action movies, Invasion USA.
The head is from Mercer v2, with new hair sculpted from putty. Torso is from Chuckles, arms from Stretcher, legs are mostly Wild Card with the left thigh from Air Commandos Spirit.
I tried to dry brush a denim look as opposed to just pure blue.
Cobra will not survive.
The Comic Pack 'Nam era figures based on GI Joe # 26.
I changed Stalker's head for the original version because I much prefer it. Also gave him Frostbite's gun so it would have a scope like in the comic.
Cesspool as leader of the Toxo Vipers. In these dangerous and forgotten tunnels, a game of cat and mouse spreads through the twisting corridors. The Joes are here somewhere amid an underground maze of pipes and contaminated sludge.
Cesspool is a repainted Deep Six v2 with the head swapped out, and the helmet from a Secto Viper.
Yep. It's that pesky COBRA Emperor who usurped Cobra Commander's title as the leader of COBRA, walking around in the dark of night, searching for something... Or someone, rather. This he commands!
I still think CC is better than Serpentor IMO...
Six elite polar troops versus one ninja is no contest.
Snake Eyes is a head swap winter version with an extra sword I had laying around.
I like using the 1994 Joe Colton as a stealth expert. I replaced the ridiculously oversized machine gun he came with, instead using the black M-16 that came with Python Patrol Copperhead.
I really did lose the figure while shooting this, and ended up finding him in perfect shape a few weeks later. Because that's what the original GI Joe is made of!
