OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Hi Flickrfriends. This is my first time on Flickr for about 6 months. Life just got too busy, and Summer was too sunny to be on the computer. Now the Fall rains have started, hopefully I can do more with my photos. Haven't even been taking that many lately.....but this was from the week before Thanksgiving, at a fire/weenie roast at the Lake.

I hope everyone is well and that the recent fires/storms/floods/drought/wars haven't impacted my Flickrfriends. It's been a year of tragedy so many places in the world. Just have to keep going, praying, loving. May God bless you all.

The full stop symbol derives from Aristophanes of Byzantium who invented the system of punctuation where the height of placement of a dot on the line determined its meaning. The high dot (.) was called a "periodos" and indicated a finished thought or sentence, the middle dot (·) was called a "kolon" and indicated part of a complete thought while the low dot (.) was called a "komma" and indicated a part of a complete thought.

All 6 ports on the Nyjer seed feeder in our front garden are occupied by Goldfinches with more waiting in the wings (pardon the pun). For the group "Birds Feeding" www.flickr.com/groups/2774111@N20/ The "Pheasant Berry" bush behind had a male Bullfinch in it the other day, feeding on the berries. Sadly I couldn't get the camera in time.

Or as near as I could make it ?

I expect you're thinking, "That's quite enough of that" !

The full moon's bright

And starlight filled the evening

We wrote it and I played it

Something happened it's so strange this feeling

Naive notions that were childish

Simple tunes that tried to hide it

But when it comes

We all fall in love sometimes

The pink moon is a nod to the bountiful blooming flowers and trees that the spring weather brings. In particular, the pink moon gets its name from a hot pink wildflower, Phlox subulata, that grows in a thick mat of vibrant foliage, commonly referred to as creeping phlox, moss phlox or moss pink.

Goats do funny things when the apple slices come out. The farmstand gave me some reject apples, so I sliced them up to give to the goats. Peppers (front) and Julianne appreciated the extra sugar, which helps them stay warm in the winter.

Such a beautiful bright moon tonight.

Taken on full zoom with camera phone.

On 20 July 1969, U.S. astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to set foot on the moon’s surface. This shot of the moon was taken at Loch Thom, near Greenock.

One Christmas time when I was six years old my Aunt Lily asked me what I wanted Father Christmas to bring me. With no hesitation I said a box of Purdy's cakes (Purdy's being a local bakers where my family couldn't afford to shop). And lo and behold on Christmas morning Father Christmas had come good, because sitting on top of all my presents was a box of Purdy's cream cakes. Christmas breakfast had never tasted so good.

Purdy's has long since gone and these very tasty cakes in the picture were bought at the 'Bread Basket', Carlton Colville, Suffolk.

An open field, clear skies, no wind, no one about and a full moon....
