The full moon's bright
And starlight filled the evening
We wrote it and I played it
Something happened it's so strange this feeling
Naive notions that were childish
Simple tunes that tried to hide it
But when it comes
We all fall in love sometimes

The second full moon of the month, AKA “Blue Moon”. Viewed from the canoe in Hoople Bay, St. Lawrence River. Another view as we paddled by an island and it reached the tree line...

The Lytham 1940s Wartime Weekend took place between Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18, 2024.
The two day spectacle saw thousands of people re-live the 1940s wartime era with a weekend of forties singing, dancing, weapons displays, historic vehicles, military charities, vintage traders and more.
Happy World Photography Day 2024!
Hi Flickrfriends. This is my first time on Flickr for about 6 months. Life just got too busy, and Summer was too sunny to be on the computer. Now the Fall rains have started, hopefully I can do more with my photos. Haven't even been taking that many lately.....but this was from the week before Thanksgiving, at a fire/weenie roast at the Lake.
I hope everyone is well and that the recent fires/storms/floods/drought/wars haven't impacted my Flickrfriends. It's been a year of tragedy so many places in the world. Just have to keep going, praying, loving. May God bless you all.

The full stop symbol derives from Aristophanes of Byzantium who invented the system of punctuation where the height of placement of a dot on the line determined its meaning. The high dot (.) was called a "periodos" and indicated a finished thought or sentence, the middle dot (·) was called a "kolon" and indicated part of a complete thought while the low dot (.) was called a "komma" and indicated a part of a complete thought.
