I rarely enter competitions, partly because I am lazy and partly because there are so many great photographers out there now days I don't feel I stand a chance. So I was really blown away when one of my photoshop students talked me into entering and I won 3rd prize out of 1500 entries! I'm still blown away. The prize wasn't huge but the honour of winning was massive to me.

I could not tell you how much I love The Front Bottoms. They are one of the most under-rated bands out there right now. They have such deep music and put on one of the best shows Ive ever had the chance to witness. If you have never listened to them, I highly recommend it!

Taken with Contax Aria & Carl Zeiss 35mm f/2.8 with yellow filter.
Film used was Ilford FP+ 50 shot @ 50 ASA.
Developed with Bostick & Sullivan 510 Pyro for 7 minutes 45 seconds @ 21C/70F.
Fixed with Photographers Formulary TF-4 for 6 Minutes.

abandoned house front view would have been better if sun were higher. ivy going up porch post. It was a nice house and had lightning rods with purple glass balls on them. This was a few years ago now it is grown up more and the roof is worse with some holes in it. The other house in the distance was occupied then but has since burned down.
I used a cut from every vintage sheet/pillow case/fat quarter I have in my stash. There are a couple of the same print but from different pieces, in that case there is one that is more faded than the other.
This front door area is a work in progress. The wee begonia is still going strong. So we are between a SUMMER and a FALL theme at the moment.

The low angle was originally chosen to lose a lamp post rising from the middle of the roof!
One of a pair delivered in 2014, they were the first VDL's (or DAF/Bova related vehicles) to feature in Safeguard's fleet.
A later pair joined the Farnham Coaches fleet in 2016.
AA64 has been improved by smart looking wheel trims, much better than the awful things they were delivered with in my opinion.
Seen at the Alton Bus Rally in July 1999 are a fine selection of front ends from visiting preserved buses.
Ritual dish (daveniyaqona) is a vessel created by the Fijian people in the early 19th century. Carved from vesi wood and finished with a polish, its height is 32.4 cm (12 ¾ in.) and its width is 19.7 cm (7 ¾ in.). It was gifted to the Met Museum by the Ruddock Foundation for the Arts in 2018 and can be accessed with the number 2018.433. The dish is not on view. This image is in the public domain.
