We had lunch at The Friendly Toast, it was great! I had a huge ham sandwich with melted brie and swiss cheeses and asparagus! It was tasty. They had lots of good looking eats, and lots of veggie friendly fare. I highly recommend it if you are ever in Portsmouth, NH.

On this day a former fire lookout was actually the volunteer on staff. While we were there a few other visitors came through, one who usually takes care of the cabin for a few weeks during the summer with a friend. It's amazing cozy feeling with the single bed and candle-lamps hanging around the place. He had his boots and socks drying out on the deck; the cabin is shut in during the winter as the stove has since been taken out.
