All the other herons in Regent's Park flew away from us, as herons do. This one had other ideas and was determined to get some bread, despite being attacked by the swans. Regent's Park, London.

Jenni bought this fabulous bench at the Out of the Closet thrift store yesterday. Sure we were a little jealous she spotted it first but we got pictures anyway!
Cracroft Pt has a large kelp forest and in 2005, a young humpback whale came to enjoy it several times. It was 2-3 meters from me being ashore. Once its blow woke me up in the middle of the night, it was actually rolling on itself in the kelp, the long pectoral fins in the air..that was incredible.
I nicknamed it Kelpy..
