Finger Lakes Railway 2201 is a GE U23B originally blt. Mar. 1974 as Louisville and Nashville 2772. After passing to successors Seaboard System and CSXT it was sold to the Providence and Worcester and spent nearly two decades in New England before being sold to the FGLK in 2006. Dressed in Lehigh Valley Red Cornell Red paint it pays homage to the dominant railroad in the modern day FGLK's home town of Geneva and the small portion of LV main that the railroad operates.
But the trackage here is the ex New York Central 'Auburn Road' a secondary line that dates from 1838. Becoming part of the New York Central System in 1853 it was actually one of three parallel lines the NYC came to own between Syracuse and Rochester. It somehow survived to be passed to successors Penn Central and Conrail before finally being spun off to the newly created Finger Lakes in 1995. Today 76 miles of the Auburn Road from Solvay (just outside Syracuse) to Canandaigua survives under FGLK auspices and here on the east end of that route is where we find 2201. The one man RCO crewmember on job SH2 is paused just east of the Boyd Ave. crossing near MP 3.8 talking on the phone to get his orders before heading west light engine three miles to switch out the Westrock warehouse in Camillus.

*Picuture- i reaaallly want red hair or red streaks. my mom has some dark red streaks that you can mostly see in the light but i want either red streaks or full on red hair. haha i know sounds crazy but i think it's adorable :)

My friend Tess taking a picture of me at the same time I took one of her. I'm not really sure, but I'm assuming the flash emanating from her camera is the red assist lamp. Either way, I like how it turned out.
A now fenced-in old friend on a revisit. The fence may be there to help encourage its offspring to regenerate by keeping sheep and rabbits out. Anyway, it kept the clone tool busy. Another of mine and Steve's characters.
My friend saw this photo of mine taken a couple days ago and immediately reacted that it looked like a wedding venue. Then, my other fiend chimmed in and said the road sign and yellow traffic light poluted the venue. But then he added that they provided some contrast to the photo. I just responded to them, the yellow traffic light was just a metaphor of warning sign in the marriage.

I was scrolling through the pictures I uploaded back in 2012 and couldn't help but notice that I haven't written much in here lately. I came across this picture of Simona and thought to upload the latest picture I have taken of her.
Simona was 19 years old back then and so was I.
Now we're both 27 and we're still friends even though we don't happen to meet up like before because, you know, life.
I took this picture in February 2020, right before all this coronashit happened.
It feels weird to think of all these years that have passed. It's been years but it feels like yesterday and I wonder where did all the time go?
I wish I had written more about the pictures that I took when I was younger. Little did I know that they would have had a meaning now. I don't wanna make the same mistake, so I'll write more about the pictures I'll take from now on.
20th February 2020. Simona and I met after a year and we grabbed a coffee. We talked a lot and it felt like we hadn't talked since the day before. After that we went to the sea and took other pictures. Maybe I'll upload more. Or maybe I won't. Who knows.
