On Monday morning, I ran out to Kansas City's Mid-America Car shop and photographed this freshly-repainted ex-CNW GP15 in fresh Cascade Green. It's lettered for the Northern Lines Railway, which is based out of St. Cloud, MN, and rosters a number of older, rebuilt GP10-type locomotives, including a few other BN units.
This was quite the sight to see!

The Conrail split was 22 days old at the time and chaos was the word of the day. Many trains were tied down as crews were unavailable due to the difficult integration of Conrail.
If you have never had halibut pulled from icy Alaskan waters - you have really missed a treat. It is a pure white firm meat, without the fishy taste so many people dislike. Add a light crispy batter and it is a dish fit for a king. In this image you see the plate placed before me at "The Lighthouse" in Haines Alaska. (And yes - I did eat it all, minus the tarter sauce, and with just a squeeze of lemon.) People come from all over the world; "just for the halibut."
