A fine evening of Balinese Gamelan music at this summit concert featuring Pusaka Sunda and Gamelan Sekar Jaya, at Freight & Salvage in Berkeley. With Adam, Dani, Phyllis, Scoop and his daughter Rose, one of the show's dancing stars.

After switching, this army frieght train is being air tested in Hank's yard. The 6 boxcars are all exD&H cars built by ACF. Former CSXT caboose 900066 brings up the rear.
DFT7117 heads a freight from presumably Dunedin or Invercargill past the derailed train, showing that the adjacent lines were still open for action. The Tranz Alpine whipped past sometime a bit later - the Train Manager on the Alpine that day was the same one we had on the Picton trip and he related about being mid-announcements when they went past, upon seeing the wagon he got so startled at the sight he lost where he was up to on the announcements and had to start again!
