I took this photo because almost as quickly as the snow flakes fell they started to melt, so in this garden container water and snow were present at the same time.

A view on a cold day of the Scarsdale Falls on the Bronx River.

Well we got up at stupid O'clock and headed up to Bryce Canyon for sunrise. When we left it was +10 in Hurricane UT and when we arrived at Bryce it was -3. We waited nearly an hour for the sunrise and here is what I captured. More photos to come in the near future of these magical hoodoos in such an amazing place. Kris..

Hopefully you can almost feel the fog depending too

I couldn't resist this, the flood is going across the road and the cars that splash though it, in these freezing conditions, are creating this :) the other side is a frozen dry stone wall :))

White Pelican in the frigid water of Cherry Creek Reservoir. With one wing frozen in place and beaks freezing shut, all I could do was leave a message in hopes that it was listened to and that a park ranger would help. I stayed for an hour and walked out to where they were on shore but it only sent them into the water. It was a cold 17 degrees with no sign of warming up soon. I left a message for the park ranger at the office of Cherry Creek State Park. American White Pelicans are a protected species.
