The Millstream estuary, where fresh water mixes with salt water, has begone to freeze early this year. The last few nights we saw the mercury go as far down as -13C with high winds. So this morning, I was only able to make a few photos before heading back to the safety of my car to avoid freezing my face. Here, on the tip of the sand dunes, the wind is tenaciously wicked, and it carries a mixture of ice, snow and sand particles that whip your face without mercy. Not a place for the meeks. We usually only get this type of weather in January.
Winter has arrived rather ferociously this year.
It has been very cold lately. This piece was shot at evening of Friday 18th Feb and it was -32 degrees in celsius. For folks using Fahrenheits it is about -26 degrees.

It's so cold today. It is -4°C outside, but the wind makes it feel like -10°C.
But it is snowing and I like snow. Luna also.
Interested in how my bubbles freeze? well here's a short video to show how they freeze. :)
Some take 30 seconds or so, others I've seen take nearly 90 seconds. It depends how cold it is and the surface they are on. :)
Just outside our condo a few nights ago -- treacherous walking but beautiful light and patterns.
