Macro Mondays: Topic: Rust.

This is a macro photograph of a rusty bolt

used to tighten up a scaffolding fitting, it may look big but it's under 3" long!

It has been rusting away for over 10 long years out in the open at the top of my garden!

About ten months ago, I posted an SoS submission of a duo of sticky notes, one a tongue-in-cheek rebuttal to an inspirational message on the other. In the office across the hall from mine, where the aforementioned work was spotted, I not too long ago happened upon another creation, this time, a well-drawn example of expanding beyond the three-inch-square (76.2mm by 76.2mm) confines of a standard Post-It note.

I guess sharks have an undocumented hankering for boba drinks, as far as I can tell.

Last summer our Waterfront and Heritage Committee had a ceremony to light the 3,000 lights strung on the framework that is dedicated to the ship S.S. Manitoba. The actual ship was the first steel hulled steamship built on the Great Lakes and it was built in Owen Sound. The Polson Shipyard did not have a shipyard big enough to build the ship so Owen Sound provided a free building site for 10 years. The Manitoba was 320 ' long and 38 ' wide. The ship was launched in 1889 and it retired in 1949.

So we kicked off the day with a 1°C. (33°F) for all of you living in northern countries It may not be that cold, but for us here in Mexico it was literally freezing. So hats and jackets obviously came in handy!

In diesem Fall nicht hinaus- sondern hineinschauen. Frost, Regen Sonnenschein und dann ein paar Schneeflocken. Jedes Kind weiß der Aprill macht was er will.

En este caso, deja de mirar, pero mira dentro. Frost, lluvia, sol y luego copos de nieve. Todos los niños saben que April hace lo que quiere.

1/3 Ich habe einen Milchbeutel über eine Müsli-Schüssel mit Milch gehangen. In den Beutel habe ich mit einer Stecknadel ein winzig kleines Loch gepickt, so das "One Drop Only" schön langsam in die Schüssel getropft ist.

Hinter das Milch-Arrangement habe (für die Spiegelung in der Milch) einen Rest blau gemustertes Geschenkpapier drapiert.

Den "technischen Aufbau" habe ich schon vorher aufgebaut und getestet. Dazu gehörte ein extern gesteuerter Blitz (YN-560 Flash) und die, auf dem Stativ befestigte Kamera mit Fernauslöser.

Und dann nach etlichen Versuchen und der Qual der Auswahl: Voila! One monday milk drop!

I am satisfied to stay relaxed on the terrace in the old hammock and listen to my favorite music. And it does not matter where in the world it is.

Regen, Regen, Regen, da kommen die Nacktschnecken schon vor der Dunkelheit aus den Löchern.

Waldlebende Arten der Nacktschnecken fressen besonders gern an Pilzen, die Fraßspuren ihrer Raspelzungen kann man dann beim Pilze sammeln entdecken.

Einige Nacktschnecken sind Allesfresser, sie fressen sogar andere Schnecken.
