I'm *so* in love with this colorway. I was going to make a quilt for the master bedroom using this fabric, but then we decided the color scheme for our bedroom is going to be brown and blue. C'est la vie.

The hair after the part has been stitched to the wig cap. Sorry for the lousy picture. I stitched two strands at the very front to give the front part a nicer look. Four strands are hooked to the wig cap on either side, to help keep the braids in place.

Mini Free Spirit Travel Bag side view. Here you can see Jenny's feet, and how she rides in the bag. The bottom portion is stiffened as well.
I've been busy, but I hope to finally get my new website to go live by the end of the week. Hopefully!
Also, I would really love it if you would join me on Facebook. See ya' there!
Most of the fabrics are from Heather Ross's Lightning Bugs & Other Mysteries line for Free Spirit. A little bit of Denyse Schmidt, Painting Red Rhinos & Sevenberry (Japanese) fabrics. Design based on a quilt I fell in love with that was sold by nettiepete in her etsy shop. My second free motion machine quilted quilt-fun! Made for a friend's baby.

Quilting completed, still have to trim and bind.
I basted and hand-stitched 240 hexies for this quilt!
Made using Denyse Schmidt "Chicopee" fabrics.

Finished a month ago, uploaded today! I loved working on this quilt, although the paper-piecing was often pretty exhausting. But it was totally great to see how much fun traditional quilt blocks can be!
Oh, and I messed up the star block on the bottom right because I thought I could draft my own triangle instead of printing out the template...and then I misinterpreted the instructions...and was too lazy to do it over. That's why it's in the corner!
Up to 1/2 yard of each for swap, lime freckles and pink freckles - only wish I had the FMF it matches with! ;)

FreeSpirit Fabrics gave members of the East Bay Modern Quilt Guild samples of a new fabric line called Habitat designed by Jay McCarroll. These are seven of the fabrics in the Earth Tone colorway.
I got these seven fat quarters and contemplating making a quilt called Analeigh’s Quilt 2010 inspired by Marianne Haak.

A simple bed to make for Mini Free Spirit. I used a broken picture frame for the bed frame. The feet are wooden spools glued together to get the height I wanted, and the posters are twigs cut from our back yard. I used 1/4" dowel rods for the slats to hold the mattress, but I could have used twigs for that as well.
I crocheted a mattress and pillow from cotton worsted weight yarn, and a coverlet from a block from "200 Crochet Blocks;" I lengthened three sides to fit nicely on the bed.
Pattern for the doll and her underwear are available free on my blog at:
Outside block of Mini Travel Bag. It has been crocheted to one of the inside blocks on three sides, and I'm sliding the padded cardboard into the open side. After it is in, I will finish crocheting around the two blocks.
Three photos taken as a set for a mate you lent us his house and bike!! Old retro bike down at the beach.
