Spring of 1986 me finks as the book containing all the lovely details from this period exited left years ago...
This cute little frame was handmade by me using polymer clay over a little wooden frame. It will hold a 2.5" x 3.5" photo. It is actually the perfect size for an ACEO! The entire frame measures 4" x 5" and includes glass.
I've covered the entire frame in brown Fimo polymer clay and added texture. It was baked to cure the clay and then painted with acrylic and metallic paints. It features little puppy themed trinkets such as a fire hydrant, dog house, t-bone steak, spiked collar, rolled up newspaper, paw prints and bones of all shapes and sizes.
The photo is just a clip out from a magazine :)
Bored and playing :-)
Camera mounted on tripod and aimed at a very slight angle to stay out of frame. Pre-focus, fire on self-timer, use live view to check positioning.
Strobist info: SB800 above and to camera left, 17mm grid, aimed into ceiling, -1 stop.
I included a few framed tessellations in a recent art fair. This is one of the pieces I included - a variation of the waterbomb base. Not sure if there is a specific name....? Hard to photograph, colors are a bit off, but they look really nice framed.

My flickr friends, I will be going away next week for about two weeks, perhaps without much time and chance to access flickr. Thought I'll leave you with a series of photos I've taken of the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur over a period of time.

I like how she is framed in this shot. Went to the beach yesterday and just felt like posting something related to it. Checking out my old photos I found this.

Yeah, I hardly ever upload here anymore. I don't have access to LEGO physically at the moment. I do have LDD, so I guess as good as it gets.
So if you remember the flexible Toa Mata frame I made a while back, here's a tweaked version for LDD. I may try to make the Toa Mata using this frame.
These two give me immense hope. They treat each other well, they don't take each other or their relationship for granted. They have fun together. I love them both.
