Between massive boulders, a narrow opening reveals the turquoise lake far below, framed by glaciers and peaks. A hidden window into the vast alpine world.

This image was inspired by the story/curse of 'The Crying Boy', a painting of a child that was supposedly the cause of many fires. Apparently firefighters found the painting to be completely unharmed even though the things around it were destroyed.

Papa owl in a nice frame of branches.

I used this frame and inserted my daughter in the centre,

but that is sometime ago. So, let's go again. In iMac X tools

I cut the man's bathing suit so that it included the black,

the stripe of bluish which was done to place this from bottom left

corner to right upper corner. The upper square

was his black suit, and the lower brown was his hairy leg.

In the background there was a green hedge and a tip of the lower square was the green hedge. The axis was his black bathing shorts, the purple was the stripe of his shorts, out we went to the hedge. I did a 360 degree turn on this odd cut out and the tips of each colour formed the zig-zag effect. The re-sizing of both images was done in Photoshop, adequately.

Had I done another 360 turn there would have

been twice as many tips and so on. the brown is

lighter at the top for there was less hair and darker as

we went down his hairy leg. Naturally, the centre black

was empty. The image of Father with son was sized to

fit as so was the odd framing interpolated to the present

size. Meu filho meu neto stands for my son my grandson,

because it was the man's mother that asked me to do

something different. Well, I suppose different it is, but

Granny only believed me when she took her son's suit

and saw the stripe! Well, she knew of her son's hairy legs.

My opinion. It was fun inventing this crazy frame, but I

don't really think it is artistic! Do you?

Roycraft pack frame I built using Rock Mountain maple. I used 550 cord for the tie-downs and they can be repurposed for many uses. I decided to used webbing for the straps instead of rope as I think the webbing is stronger and lighter for its use.

The lower leg armor only needed a little rework to fit the new frame while the upper leg needed more. From the outside of the armor the back of the knee is the only visible change, couldn't cover that one up.

Here I am framing an old print from the 1950’s on the deck of our new vacation cabin in Carmel Valley. We and 102 other cabin owners have access to 2,600 acres of some of the most wild and beautiful landscape in central California. My wife and I have been looking for a special place just like this for years and it still doesn’t seem real. I will be exploring and taking lots of photos this spring when the furnishing and fixing up phase is over.
