Spiranthes odorata. This is the largest of our native ladies' tresses. It spreads by its roots and can form clonal colonies. It is widespread throughout Florida. It typically grows in floodplains and tolerates inundation. The bees and the butterflies were enjoying these flowers as you can see in this photo.

A first for me, although this is a common species. Plenty of these to be seen amongs the Common Spotted and what is left of the Monkeys. Also, it seems the Pyramidal are about to burst into bloom. But we had no luck with the Musks. Will,go back and hunt some more.
