Gymnadenia conopsea (Mückenhändelwurz, fragrant orchid) Aflenzer Bürgeralm, Steiermark, Austria. Their fragrance is not as intense as the neighbouring nigritellas.
The Pink or Fragrant Water Lily has 3-6 inch/7-15 cm white or pink flowers, & 4-12 inch/10-30 cm flat floating leaves. The leaves have long stems and are bright green above and reddish or purplish underneath.
Each flower opens in the morning and closes in the afternoon or evening. The blossom repeats this cycle for about 3 to 5 days before it stops and sinks underwater. The flower is only able to be pollinated on the first day when it fills with sweet nectar. They bloom from June to October.
These flowers are abundant in Harrison Slough, which is a lake located close to the southeastern shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene in Kootenai County, Idaho. The slough is named for the nearby 233-person town of Harrison which was formed around 130 years ago.
Kootenai County is named for the local tribe. Native Americans used this perennial for medicinal purposes; its seeds, rhizomes, and flowers are edible.

So this is my 'Fragrant Cloud' hybrid tea-rose, photographed recently in my garden following one of Sydney's summer tropical rain storms.
"Fragrant Cloud' is a bright pink rose (some varieties are more red in colour) and, as the name suggests, it is one of the most fragrant of hybrid tea-roses.
My Canon EOS 5D Mk IV with the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM lens.

A native American azalea. Label not found, but almost certainly collected in North Carolina highlands. Now blooming at the UC Botanical Garden. 😊

We have a bank of these very fragrant roses under our master bedroom window. When the breeze blows in it picks up this beautiful scent and spreads it through the room. So very nice.
And yes it smells gorgeous
This one decided to produce lots of flowers and I thought it deserved a photo. This was taken by my phone. the phone has struggled with the colour and its a fair bit off! It should be more red than pink!
