This is my first damselfly for the year and a new species for me since I hadn't had the proper lens to be able to ID damselflies very well until last month.

I had been on the lookout for a hummingbird to photograph for months. The first one I see in a long time and it landed right in front of me for 5 seconds. Sometimes when you stop looking for something, you find it.

A fragile papershell (Leptodea fragilis). This specimen was deeply buried in the mud with only its siphons protruding.

Dogtooth violet taken at Shiroyama Katakuri-no-sato (Shiroyama dogtooth violet village), Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture.
These flamboyant early-spring flowers used to be widely found in mountains/forests but they have decreased in number recently, due to digging by people, being eaten by deers, which have been increasing considerably in number, and so on.
