A bonus two Foxes in one shot using remote shutter control

After seeing the juvenile red fox with prey yesterday, I realized that an adult was nearby....even though the light was contrasty, you gotta try to get the shot when it is available :)

British Wildlife Centre, Surrey

I was fortunate to spend another day at BWC and this time had some good light to play with. I'm sure this fox has been photographed a thousand times or more, but I have a reason for showing this image. Laying on my stomach in the fox pen photographing another fox, this one continually climbed upon my back and stood there. Yes, these animals are used to human contact, but that didn't detract from the sheer pleasure of having such close contact.

What i love about being outdoors photographing nature. Is the oppertunities that just happen to present themselves.

I was out taking pics of waterfowl in my blind in late september and totaly unaware that this old sly fox was watching me.

As i was leaving the blind i noticed him peering at me from within a fallen tree trunk. As quick as a flash he/she was gone.....

Have a great Furry Friday

A curious Red Fox slyly approaches closer.

Quite elegant to me this year.

Near my daughters small farm (2.5 acres) near Oregon City, Oregon. I first started taking shots while he was aggressively scratching for food. Eventually he flew up in a thicket where he was out of view. Curiosity got the best of him and showed himself.

I got some more shots of the Foxes this morning. They are shy creatures and I was trying not to scare him away by looking away and only taking shots every now and then.

But as soon as I told someone what I was shooting, he called to everyone nearby to come look at the Fox. Of course, they pointed, pulled out the cell phones, and talked excitedly. (I probably would have done the same if I didn't know any better.)

Mr. Fox didn't care for all of the excitement and trotted off.

Take Time To Smell The Flowers

Young fox paying a visit to the garden this morning.

This might be the last fox cub shot I post this spring/summer, as I haven't seen them around for a while

Early morning for this fox, just after dawn this photograph in Shiretoko National Park, Hokkaido, Japan.

Grabshot of a fox that bounded over the hill before I could get my lens on it - I attempted my best rabbit in distress call which sounded more like a cat in a tumble dryer and the fox magically reappeared to have a look at the strange animal that must have emitted the noise - the next strange noise was click zzzz click zzz click zzzz

Came across this little chap whilst on Forestry commission roads in the Northumberland national park, he didn’t see me as a threat so out the camera came!
