Patio Slab Movement The earlier two overviews of this area show that the upper level of the home rests over this patio. The expansive soils around this house have moved the patio causing it to heave and break up.

I absolutely love this series of photos. We were working with a homeowner who had moved away and we had to describe what the work would entail verbally or with pictures, so our Design Specialist and the Engineer for the project marked up the photos to help visualize for the owner & the production crew what they needed to know.

There is nothing like heading out your back door and falling into a trench.

Our Peak Basement Systems Waterguard installation crew has draped the entire basement in protective plastic liners because this basement was recently finished. The homeowner said that they wished they had thought of waterproofing prior to finishing the basement with expensive carpet and padding, both of which had to be removed and destroyed due to mold.

Once the drain tile has been installed, the Peak Basement Systems crew will cement everything into place. The homeowners will then replace the destroyed carpet and padding and no one will be able to tell that the drain tile is present under the carpet.

The front wall is bowing out. The foundation wall is experiencing pressure from the side of the wall. Our Colorado expansive soils will and do expand and cause pressure on the foundation.

Here's an overview of where the foundation wall has been compromised due to the missing support posts in the basement.

This beautiful mountainside home is getting stabilized so it stays put and does not slowly slide (creep) down the mountain. These notched out runway areas are strategically placed in the basement of the home. Rebar, iron stabilizing rods, will be placed here and connected to the tiebacks on the wall of the house. The tie backs are also stabilizing rods that anchor the house deep into the mountain bedrock securing the home from further movement. For more information, contact Peak Basement Systems. Ductwork. It's the essential element that keeps the HVAC system functioning and the house either warm or cold. Many times, ductwork may need to be detached during a foundation repair to allow for access to the workspace. This time, we were able to work around the ductwork without damaging it. This is foundation repair. Powerlift Foundation Repair at www.powerliftfoundationrepair.com provides experienced professional foundation repair.

The landscaping of this home is not only beautiful; but also, very beneficial. The surrounding soil is sloped so that it causes water to drain away from, not toward, the foundation. Also the bushes and plants are 6 ft away from the foundation. No worries with root problems here. Please be kind to your foundation! Correct landscaping practices: drainage is excellent, plants are at a proper distance, the home is set up for success!

Window well covers keep rain water and snow from accumulating in the window well. Surface water can be very damaging to the foundation as well as the interior of the home. Please also note the landscaping is sloped away from the home. Melting snow and rain water will not collect near the foundation.

This brick is not only cracked but slightly popped out along the left side of the cracking. Lots of movement here.
