Here's a shot of the crawlspace this crew was working on. It's up to code and properly sized for a subfloor (18" tall), but that's still quite tight quarters for the crew! 1850 greek revival. Was built for a man named Silas Whitaker in Brunswick NY. Mr. Cooper had a pond made in the backyard to supply the city of Troy it's ice. Several additions have been added to the house, and much of my own work was put into the house.
Electric and pipes remain undisturbed.
When the project is complete, the wooden beams will be replaced with steel beams and the house will be much sturdier for many years to come.
To the right of center note the overview of as type of support system under many crawl spaces. There is a concrete pad, a couple of wood blocks and the wood beam.
