Forrest, a Boxer mix who was about 10 weeks old when this photo was taken, is now 10 months old. “While taking our newly adopted kitty into the vet for a check-up, this little guy was sitting behind the counter, looking for a forever home,” says RT, his pet parent. Forrest’s previous owners had hit him with their car but didn't want to pay to have him treated, so the vet’s staff took him in.

“We had recently lost our 17-year-old dog and weren't looking for a new puppy. But all it took was one puppy kiss to my nose and I knew we needed to adopt him and take him home! Of course with those legs, we had to name him Forrest!” The pup has recovered from his injuries and is now healthy and playful. “He never let those casts get in his way of showing his affection!” RJ says

Fun Forrest in Kandel

Opened in 1988, Forrest Chase and the Myer building are soon to be redeveloped into a soulless steel and glass monolith. So I decided to document the CRAP out of them before they're gone for good.

Baby Forrest sits at the head table with groom Rob Prigge Sept. 29, 2007, at the European Crystal Banquet & Conference Center in Arlington Heights, Ill.

Forrest is owned by one of our vet nurses. He just came in for a fun day at work.

this picture is pretty simple. It is just a random picture of a path going towards a house and on this little path, there is a bench with two girls, sitting backwards on it, holding a red umbrella.

the red of the umbrella is the actual eye-catcher of the image. It stands out and it is centred. this picture is full of contrast and variety. We see an umbrella, a bench, two girls, leaves a door,.. so many patterns create a whole.

The title I chose is Forrest Gump, because the bench reminds me of that movie. It represents the waiting, the patience and the limitless of time.

Using Photoshop, I took a picture of my first assignment and used it as background for the umbrella scene. I chose it because the bench fits perfectly in the path and it looks crazy, as if they were miniature.

You recognize that I left the shadow of the bench under it. And I did it on purpose, to emphasize where the light is coming from and to give life to this composition.

An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind.

Forrest J Ackerman (November 24, 1916 - December 4, 2008) We had alot of fun touring the mansion. The mansion was full of the amazing movie memorablia , Forrest even showed us the crawl space of his house for Christ's sake! It was packed too! Vincent Price signed his guest book," my last signature ever!"

Forrest's handmade knives all from found materials.

I swear, that's what my brother drew.

on Old Savannah Tours

I traveled to Forrest in western Victoria to take an early morning tour/canoe paddle with Otway Ecotours (http://www.platypustours.net.au/) to see platypuses in the wild. And see them with did. Have very good, if very horizontal, views of 4-5 platypus many times. They swim low in the water, so you see only the top of their bill, head, back and tail cruising along. Otway Ecotours told me not to bring an SLR camera because the noise who startle the platypus. So, all I brought was a cheap P&S camera with no telephoto (90mm), and no low light performance. I got some photos, but they were so bad I deleted them all. If you want to see platypuses in the wild, I highly recommend this tour.

On Friday 29 May 2015, Andrew and Nicola Forrest announced the first recipients of the Forrest Research Scholarships Awards – with all five recipients flying in from around the world to accept their award.
