On Friday 29 May 2015, Andrew and Nicola Forrest announced the first recipients of the Forrest Research Scholarships Awards – with all five recipients flying in from around the world to accept their award.

The 18-room hostel provided a restaurant meal "worthy of any city hotel".

bit.ly/MIROrchestra The Manchester International Roots Orchestra is a unique, new musically diverse orchestra which aims to nurture musical collaboration between refugee and other culturally diverse musicians and Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) students. The Orchestra involves musicians, singers and MCs of all styles and genres who are proficient and who want to collaborate with others. The orchestra aims to create exciting new music drawing on a range of music genres. They are working towards another high-profile performances in Manchester during 2013. This project involves Michael Cretu as Music Director, and Serge Tebu as Assistant Music Director.
