Sea and forrest on long exposure.

The sea far away seems immobile. The wind blowing the trees on the foreground makes it blurry

From Round 2 of XDC in Phoenix, AZ.

This forrest was really dark and has a little house situated somewhere inside the dense trees.

Brilliant atmosphere in there.

Another portrait with the new camera. Hope the poor dog is getting used to the sound of the shutter already.

Over and over and over again...

Forrest is owned by one of our vet nurses. He just came in for a fun day at work.

Named after the first Prime Minister of Western Australia, Forrest Place is one of the main pedestrian spaces in the Perth's Central Business District. The Beaux-arts style building shown in this picture is the early 20th century General Post Office building, one of the landmarks of the city.

He was army crawling but I think he got tired just as I pulled out the camera!

Forrest, a Boxer mix who was about 10 weeks old when this photo was taken, is now 10 months old. “While taking our newly adopted kitty into the vet for a check-up, this little guy was sitting behind the counter, looking for a forever home,” says RT, his pet parent. Forrest’s previous owners had hit him with their car but didn't want to pay to have him treated, so the vet’s staff took him in.

“We had recently lost our 17-year-old dog and weren't looking for a new puppy. But all it took was one puppy kiss to my nose and I knew we needed to adopt him and take him home! Of course with those legs, we had to name him Forrest!” The pup has recovered from his injuries and is now healthy and playful. “He never let those casts get in his way of showing his affection!” RJ says

this picture is pretty simple. It is just a random picture of a path going towards a house and on this little path, there is a bench with two girls, sitting backwards on it, holding a red umbrella.

the red of the umbrella is the actual eye-catcher of the image. It stands out and it is centred. this picture is full of contrast and variety. We see an umbrella, a bench, two girls, leaves a door,.. so many patterns create a whole.

The title I chose is Forrest Gump, because the bench reminds me of that movie. It represents the waiting, the patience and the limitless of time.

Using Photoshop, I took a picture of my first assignment and used it as background for the umbrella scene. I chose it because the bench fits perfectly in the path and it looks crazy, as if they were miniature.

You recognize that I left the shadow of the bench under it. And I did it on purpose, to emphasize where the light is coming from and to give life to this composition.
