A stitch of 4 pics at 85mm/f2.2 combined to give the effect of a much shallowe DOF than usual. The so called "Brenizer method". A proper Brenizer pic should have used many more photos for an even more dramatic effect.
It was a dark, wet and miserable day so I wanted to to make the best of it and tried to capture the rather depressive mood.
One shot from today's hike. After I haven't been there for more than 20 years, we went to a spot near Mechernich, called "Katzensteine". It ist located in the Eifel-region in Germany. What a beautiful place this is. It also made for some nice pictures of old rocks and trees!
I think I get just as excited finding little things along the path as the big grand scenes.

The spot made famous in Forrest Gump. Now an often crowded tourist attraction. It's even marked on the Googly Maps. Once, when I passed by here, there must have been 20 people standing in the road, trying to take a photo - and they would not get out of the way!
I hate playing tourist. I'm not even sure why we stopped, actually. Maybe Curt wanted to.
