A rain storm early in the morning in Kuguchi, Japan. The tiny town is at the start of the final section of the Kumano-Kodo pilgrimage walk.
This photo was taken while walking around St Peters in Trusthorpe (Lincolnshire).
I love the colours on this one, I also like that it looks whimsical.
This was one of the first photos that I took in Oxford of model Jade Forrest when we recently met up recently for a 'Time for Images' shoot. We wandered through University Park before heading into town to shoot against more 'urban' backgrounds.
Plenty more from the various model shoots I've been involved in within my portraits set : www.flickr.com/photos/darrellg/albums/72157601321043616
Still rather out of my comfort zone shooting people but that's a good reason to do more of it. If anyone is interested in sparing a couple of hours in return for some images feel free to get in touch. Of course it would be helpful if you were based somewhere in the Oxford area.

Selfportrait in the forrest. Its about my black and white thinking. And my dramatic feelings during one day. From darkness into light I always transform fast into light when I am in the forrest <3
Our visit to Monument Valley, Utah where Forrest stopped running. Awesome place!
Best viewed by pressing the L key, then F11 key.
One last shot of model Jade Forrest before I finish with these shots. This was one of a number of shots taken in Holywell Street in Oxford. I had thought the colourful pastel buildings would make for a good background but my conclusion was that the stone buildings worked better.

For those that are interested:
I had to go back to The Magical Forrest again, and rephotograph the precious flowers with my real camera...
Hi,
This was taken after a short walk in the forrest nearby. Its a swamp area with some wooden boards laid out for walking on. I toned down the exposure in the treeline and enhanced the clarity of the wooden boards.
Have a nice day !
You can view it on black if you close your eyes & remember the picture!
This shot is from the spot where Forrest Gump has finished his run in the movie. Two years ago, there was a trading post with a sign "Famous Spot", now there's an actual sign specifying the location exactly. It is a bit far from the Monument Valley itself, yet the Valley looks exceptionally beautiful from this spot. This is a tribute to the those who found the spot.
