Between 13 and 21 May 2016, London College of Communication held an exhibition, conference and workshop aimed at engaging audiences in speculations about the key design trends which could shape and transform our everyday lives. The event series was organised by MA Design Management and Cultures students and was based around five provocations authored by industry experts on important global themes: Digital Disruptions, Architectural Visions, Ageing Populations, Consumer Lifestyles and Cultural Institutions. I modified Stefanie Japel's Forecast pattern quite a bit to make this cardigan. I used cables from Elsebeth Lavold's Viking Knits, and changed the background from garter to reverse stockinette.

Using ECMWF's Forecasts (UEF) meetings provide a forum for exchanging ideas and experiences on the use of ECMWF data and products. UEF2021 took place virtually from 1 to 4 June 2021, and the theme was ‘Weather in extraordinary circumstances’.
András Horányi (ECMWF) presented 'C3S service offer on climate projection datasets' at the UEF2021 meeting.

Forecast Was for Clearing sky's and a low of -17°C. They were right. What the Weather Services neglected to mention was the wind chill, I nearly froze my fingers off. But I believe the shots were worth it.
The forecast for Troy, Oregon on December 3 was for 40 degrees and mostly sunny (very mild for Dec), so we made the drive down to hike up the Wenaha River and soak up some low angled sunlight. As is often the case, the weatherman was wrong. The sun didn't come out at all making for very difficult photography conditions. I wasn't pleased with any of my photos from the day, but I'm posting a few here anyway. The warmest temperature was saw for the day was 32 which is nice for December even though it wasn't quite what we had hoped for. Overall, it was a decent hike and it beat staying indoors and letting the cabin fever set in.

A snowstorm is headed toward Winchester with only one to three inches of accumulation expected. But, forecasters have been wrong before, so it's best to err on the safe side – and the crew that must plow campus parking lots and roads will appreciate all the drivers who moved cars to the garage
