Stagecoach 17179 (V176 MEV) - Dennis Trident/Alexander Alx400 by the IMAX Cinema after being rear-ended by Arriva London T151 (LJ60 AVY) - ADL Trident/Enviro400

The Hot Wheels take on the Ford Transit Connect was deliberately meant to be customised and reflected a real vehicle they made in conjunction with Ford for the 2013 SEMA motor show. Its debut colour was accurate to the full sized version but obviously this casting has to earn its keep and so for 2017 we got it in this playful and dare I say believable Pizza Express livery. Bought from ASDA back in February 2017. Mint and boxed.
These pics were only uploaded to get linked to a forum about this type of car. They show how much room can be in such a small car.

Some fresh recolours are now appearing in the budget orientated Maisto Fresh Metal line up including this rather queasy coloured EV Battery Services Ford Transit Connect.
Apart from its lack of interior I actually rather like this casting, far more stock than the HW equivalent and certainly better detailed! Found recently in a French Super U. Mint and boxed.
Please select the picture you think will work best on the side panels. The number of pictures is up to you. Thanks!
The Transit Connect made its North American debut here in Chicago. The Transit Connect interests me. I've been a fan of small vans like the Nissan Stanza Wagon my parents had years ago. Minivans have grown to the point of becoming unwieldy and hard to garage. If you say the Transit Connect looks European, you are correct. Ford had several versions of the Transit Connect on hand, including a consumer-oriented passenger van, this catering van, another work van carrying home automation supplies, and a delivery van carrying wine. Hopefully businesses will realize small vans like this can satisfy their needs and sales of gas-guzzling Econoline and Express vans will drop.

Originally based on a real Hot Wheels show van though obviously that original authentic blue colour has long since been replaced by its various subsequent recolours.
This is its brand new 2023 Case H release and despite it being in the unloved Art Cars sub series I actually like the intricate artwork and sage green body colour.
Found recently at Morrisons.
Mint and boxed.
Castle Hotel, Widnes.
According to CheshireLive online (10 June 2022) the former Castle Hotel/pub on Warrington Road had been approved (despite 21 written objections being received) to be converted into temporary accommodation. Whether this conversion has since been completed, I couldn't say.
For all the petrol-heads the visible vehicle to the left is a 2018 Hyundai I10, 998cc and peeping on the right we have a 2016 Ford Transit Connect, 1560cc.

Another very good and totally unexpected model from Matchbox in recent years has been the Ford Transit Connect. A very popular van sold all over the world and Matchbox doesn't disappoint. This is an earlier version with detailed front headlamps and grille. Why can't they do that on more recent versions! Mint and boxed.
Quite possibly this castings most believable recolour in a VERY long time having had the misfortune of being given some really wacky and gaudy versions over the years. A clean and still modern looking design which was never intended to look factory fresh stock due to being based on a real life Mattel designed custom. Part of Case M found recently at ASDA. Mint and boxed.
Nice model of the Ford Transit Connect by Matchbox which has been used for a variety of different liveries. This one is an Airport Connector vehicle. This is a recent purchase from the new Matchbox Mecca that is Morrisons! ;-) Mint and boxed.
Latest 2021 recolour of the Hot Wheels Ford Transit Connect. Cost cutting modifications ensures this casting now has a lot more plastic content. Additional detailing via a Molotow pen. Mint and boxed.
EU17 DCX a Ford Transit Connect Seach and Rescue vehicle was parked outside the Queensferry Coastguard Rescue Centre at Port Edgar, South Queensferry on the morning of February 19th 2018.
Seen parked in the very heart of Chorlton on Saturday 19th June, this is a Ford Transit Connect owned by Greater Manchester Police parked outside Barclays (not pictured in this shot.......wonder if an armed blag took place! LOL!)
With a much needed overhaul and tidying up of the rambling Maisto Fresh Metal line up their Ford Transit Connect finally gets a new recolour. Bang up to date with the colour and EV themed livery its actually a decent casting with impressive front and rear detailing. Part of a 20 vehicle set found recently in an E.Leclerc. Mint and boxed.
In the early hours of 22 October 2011 on the B4114 at Croft in Leicestershire, a young driver, Michael York, returning home from a night out in Leicester crashed his vehicle into a tree whilst driving at excessive speed and under the influence of drink and drugs. Alongside him in his car were three friends. Michael was thrown clear in the crash and suffered serious injuries. Two of his friends, Matthew Brown and Samuel Turner were tragically killed in the crash. In June 2012 a remorseful and tearful Michael was convicted at Leicester Crown Court for causing death by dangerous driving and was given a five year jail term. In a remarkable act of forgiveness, Mandie Brown, the mother of Matthew Brown, hugged Michael in court. The story of remorse and forgiveness may have ended there had it not been for a chance meeting between Paul Speight of Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and the Governor of HM Prison Glen Parva, where Michael was serving his sentence. Having been told that Michael was desperate to do something positive to help him deal with the consequences of his actions, permission was sought from and given by highest level within the prison service for Michael to be filmed from his cell urging others not to make the same mistake.
Both of the families of the young men killed gave their approval for the project and as a consequence, Mandie Brown was also asked to be involved. Mandie was filmed talking about the consequences for her family. This filming produced some hard-hitting and emotional footage for the No More Lives Wasted Roadshow, a road safety presentation given by Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service to Year 11 and 12 pupils across Leicestershire. The story doesn’t end there. Paul Speight wondered whether there was an opportunity to put together an event that had never been done before. His idea was to get Michael and Mandie onto a stage together to be interviewed to reach an even greater audience. A preliminary meeting took place with John Cleveland College Hinckley, where all four men involved in the crash had been pupils. At that meeting Vice-Principal Chris Leeming gave his full support and agreed to host a filmed event in the school hall in front of 280 pupils. The resources that you will find on this site are the results of filming that event along with materials from the No More Lives Wasted Roadshow, brought together here for the first time. This would not have been possible without the cooperation and support of our partner agencies.
